    Drink.

Can be made with bourbon, brandy, or rum typically.

I've been trying to replicate the classic super club one with mixed results.

    Look, I made a pun.

    Lazy way for me:
Add sugar, bitters, and ice to cocktail mixer and shake a lot.
Then add whiskey to mixer and couple more shakes.
    Strain into glass with ice.

    I enjoyed that.

I knew what you meant really, but I am no expert on cocktails. Someone that thinks they are will chime in though.

orange slice in bottom of glass
    heaped tsp sugar

    muddle that

add rye whiskey or brandy, some ice, garnish with a cherry

Funny thing is, I tend to like things made in the simple fashion.

I'm sure someone will tell us how blasphemous this approach is but I bet I'll like it your way best :lol3

Just table sugar? It seems like table sugar with a dash or two of bitters wouldn't dissolve much with that approach???

I'll try it. First, I'll have to buy a mixer :rofl

In fairness then, he's probably quite good at it.

Puts enough alkyhall in it anyway.

It helps if the ice is not cubes, but crushed some. Then the vigorous shaking will create enough water to dissolve the sugar.
Also, the amount of sugar and bitters can vary by person based on taste.

    I prefer a sazerac:

bitters & sugar muddled, 1/2 shot absinthe, shot of rye, stir with ice and garnish with twist of lemon

    I'm not an absinthe fan.

I was thinking that I may have been the GS, but I don't commute on 61. Even with the vest on and the grips set on high, comfort level was pretty low. I foresee one more day of commuting for the year. Oh well, there's a lot to be said for a hor mug of coffee and The Current.

I dunno if you can even get real absinthe here. Whatever I bought in Canoodia had good flavour.

I am inclined to agree. It was OK for the short ride, but I learned earlier this year that with this equipment set, a multi hour ride leads to hypothermia at 20 degrees. :vardy

I could wear more stuff, but fuck that, it takes longer to get to geared up than it does to drive the truck. Tomorrow should be even more gooder though. :thumb

    Might even take T2 tomorrow.

The green fairy that lives in the absinthe wants your soul.

I haven't tasted anything anise flavored that I really like.

Seems to be one of those polarizing flavors.

It was everything I hoped it would be, and more.

In that I had one of their monster cookies.
