My ex-husband, Robert, is currently going through treatment for throat cancer. It's gotten to the point that he can no longer care for his two cats. They used to be our cats, but I'm now in Colorado and my landlord won't allow them.

They are big, fat, loveable kitties that are very bonded and need to find a new home together. They don't go outside. They don't do much of anything other than loll about and want to hang out with you. Murphy weighs about 23 pounds; Theo weighs about 20. They are about 11 years old and in good health. All vaccinations are current. They use a litter box. Does anyone want two lovely kitties for free? The only provision is you must notify us if you can no longer care for them, and not take them to a shelter. I don't think they could handle that. They are located in Bothell, Washington. Help, please?

This is Theo on the left, and Murphy on the right:

If you can help, please PM me, or PM inmate rahbert. Or his email is rahbert at earthlink dot net. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Peterman has a reputation that precedes him, so I would expect nothing less from him. The words "kindness" and "compassion" don't come to mind.

I was just informed that Robert is being hospitalized at Swedish in Edmonds today. His PIC line is infected, he's anemic and he can't keep any food down. I hope none of you ever have to experience throat cancer.

The cats have someone to drop in and feed them.

Sorry I can't help you on the cat front. Is temporary fostering an option until he gets better (not me, but others may step up...those without a fork and spoon anyways,,[peterman])

Since Robert (aka Rahbert) is a local fellow, some of you may like to hear the rest of the story. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=848024&page=5

The issue with temporary fostering is that it's going to take Robert a long time to get back on his feet. And he feels as if finding them a long-term, good home may be better for them. If we can't find them a new home, he might consider it.

Bump. Any kitty lovers who want two adorable cats? Murphy is almost dog-like in his devotion to following you anywhere and being right by your side. Theo is his wingman.

Jeebus people....get over yourselves. I don't think there's a karma draw for a JOKE that admittedly was on the fringes of tastelessness - but a joke nonetheless. And point out to me where he made fun of cancer.

Sorry about your ex, Anne. Throat cancer is about as bad as it gets.

Sorry I can't help. My cat already rules the roost. :D

All who are too damn uptight about a joke....have a lot to learn about humanity.
Please reserve full judgement of folks until you share a campfire.

Reminds me of that stoopid bumper sticker:
    "If you're not pissed off,
    You're not paying attention"
I kinda think,...if you're pissed off, you might just plain suck.

...heard this on a TV show:
"If you run into one asshole a day, you run into an asshole.
If you run into assholes all day long, you are the asshole"

I DO hope these cats find a great, comfy home.

    Well said ! :clap

Obviously those with their panties in a wad have a shallow view of the fucked up world we live in. Very few will ever experience a fraction of the Love, Loss, joy and grief of life's hard lessons that Peterman has endured. He brings a fresh hard edged perspective to situations. If your offended then you are blinded and don't get it. Throat Cancer is a horrible situation. I lost a friend and then my favorite Uncle within a year to it. I wish Robert and Gitana the best as it is a rough road. Even a tasteless sick joke can be a bright spot on a dark day.

Dang, that's pretty awesome right there.

No judgement offered or offense intended, and I know for a fact Peterman is pretty damned funny! Very poor form? Yes. I still love you FF's anyway though. :D

Look humor is not supposed to injury; stop already.

Have the cats found a home? If they were closer we would take them. Heck, we take any and all unwanted cats. Well maybe not all, we are at 9 now and it is tough to keep up.

Gitana, please post if you have found a home for them.
