Route suggestions are highly appreciated, tired of highways!

    Hello Inmates.

Sitting on a campground in some very small town north of Death Valley.
Been riding for a while but getting this RR has not been easy. Dont always feel so chatty in the local McD after a long ride in the heat..

Quick backstory: two guys age 25 got tired of the normal life.
A few months later we are doing this thing. We dont really know what we are doing so this should be entertaining.. Hehe!

We got TUCKERS to help us buy the bikes which made things go very smooth!

I will start updating this thread as fast as i can up until now.

Forgot to mention the duration of the trip: one year.

    Part 1: @ the Tuckers!

We got to stay a few nights at James and Colleen which was really nice, we got a really comfy start equipping our bikes and getting started! Also had a great trip up a mountain to a ranch called Newcombs.

Me, Luke(a really cool guy from NZ at the end of his trip, we got to spend some time with him and that made our time there even better!) Shameless(my travel buddy) and James doing prep stuff.

    The great James!

Lastly a BIG thanks to James and Colleen!

Pt 2: Joshua Tree! (In summertime....)

This was a steep learning curve for two novice campers but we had a blast!
Very few people in the park, but we saw a lot of wild animals and we both woke up the first night due to very loud coyote howling. The next night one coyote even ran through our camp!

The heat was extreme for two wannabe vikings!

If you guys end up south in Tucson cold beer is on me. Ride safe. Watch the heat, stay hydrated during the day, and enjoy the trip.

Thanks man, would love that. Dont know where we will cross into Mexico yet so absolutely an option! :D

Staying hydrated is quite a challenge, we got free water at a gass station today because the guy working there said we looked very dehydrated. So big thanks to you working at the furnace creek station in death valley today!

Hope I'm wrong, but that helmet looks hot and looks like you gonna get some sun burn on those arms.
Still looks like ya'll gonna have a blast. And as far as picture heavy, we love pictures. Looking forward to more reports/pictures/fun.

That is Shameless and he is actually all decked in black and struggling a bit in this heat hehe, but the worst is over now.

And riding sleeveless is just because we were doing some offroading, we normally do full riding gear.

Summer is hot , to cool off , Head North ! Or head to higher elevation.
It can be hot in the day time in the northern US too , but, at least you'll get a break at night.
The Pikes Peak Hillclimb is June 28th, the oldest race in America. [edit] Opps ,you're in Cali and the hillclimb is tommorrow, never mind.

I'm happy the Norway Tools got this started at last. We had a fun few days with them and set them loose on the USA. Lock up your daughters!

In! And when you get close to the southern end of the Appalachians, give a shout, lots of amazing riding here, both paved and unpaved. Between phreakingeek and I we can probably point you to weeks of amazing stuff.

I can put you guys up in the DC/Baltimore area. In fact, my son is your age and also has a 'Strom so he can show you the sights I am long past.
