I just spent the last weekend at Two Wheels of Suches......Wow, what a place. I can highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice, enjoyable motorcycle weekend. I have been coming here for almost 10 years and have always enjoyed it, but, it is way better now. The old TWO was getting long in the tooth. The new owner (and I wont say his name, cause lots of old school guys still like the way it was before with G..) has turned this place around. You will see the new owner ( lets just call him Bill, cause its easier to type) will be around alot, checking to make sure u have what you need, what you want, what would make it better.......Like I said, I've been here maybe 10 times and this was the best......Thank-you Bill.

    New bathhouse, which is incredible.......

I highly recommend it for anyone traveling thru the area or looking for a destination.

I love that place, and it was love at first sight, Easter weekend of 2000. Been back at least once every year since, even when it was closed...had to go up there, sit on the porch, and reminisce, altho it wasn't the same when the place was deserted:

Made a buncha good memories there. Sure am glad Bill brought it back to life, and I agree--it's better than ever:thumb

Heading up there in early June, if the good Lord's willin and the creek don't rise:ricky

I was up there the week they closed up as TWO. :cry

I also have had to stop by and pay my respects.

I have stopped in as the new Two Wheels of Suches.
    It has been nicely upgraded.
I do think it has lost some of its charm though, but I think some of that will return over time.

Agreed--part of the charm of the place was seeing all those T-shirts on the ceiling representing rallies that had been held there, the pics & memorabilia on the walls, etc. Gave the lodge a "homey" feeling, and I don't mean like Homey the Clown either. The lodge seems kinda sterile with the bare walls and ceiling, altho I have a feeling they won't stay that way for long...

Remember these 2 little signs on the wall near the cash register? They made me smile every time I saw them.

Can't find the pic of it right now, but my favorite T-shirt in the place was the one that said YOU HAVE FAILED AS A CUSTOMER, it used to hang on the wall near the big map.

Celebrated my dad's 60th birthday with him up there in '08, we stayed in the ratty old trailer (now gone) during the weekend of the True Grits Rally--beautiful weather, cool bikes, good times, memories that'll stay with me for the rest of my days.

    Can't wait to go back.

I heard somewhere that folks were going to return a lot of the "stuff" that they had from when it closed down as "TWO".<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

    I hope so.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Speaking of the true grit rally I seriously regret that I never got to do one.<o:p></o:p>
    I had a fun "50cc" :deal<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><v:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></v:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock></v:shapetype> bike I wanted to run there.

    You made a 640 Adventure look like a minibike when I saw you last. I can't imagine a 50cc bike. :lol3

The 50cc rally still lives...matter of fact, it's this weekend I believe. Got an e-mail from someone mentioning it. On my bucket list for one year. Anyone got a YSR50 laying around? :rofl

How's the food there now? I really liked eating there in the "old days". Did the True Grits there in 2005. That's a rally worth obtaining a 50cc bike for.

I am trying to remember what I even had there this last time.
What ever it was, it was Ok and a bit pricey as I remember.
I dont recall being blown away by the food in the past either though I usualy did grab a bite when there.

Since the reopening, I've only been there once--had a burger/fries, it was OK but nothing extraordinary. As has already been stated, it's a bit pricey for what ya get. Back in the day, the food was good, but that was never the primary appeal of TWO, at least not for me. Hell I would love that place if they didn't serve food at all:raabia

The fresh coffee in the AM was always fantastic tho, and that's a fact Jack!

My first day of summer vacation is 6/4, and TWO is at the top of my list of summer destinations:nod

Glad to hear they opened back up. Felt like a lost a family member when I heard they closed down and that was confirmed when I was there last and it was empty. Have to put that on my list of places to stop next time.
