I got this evening the two side stand relocaters made by a friend Mike who is a tool maker at an engineering firm, as you can imagine the quality is excel lance. The plates are made from 6mm steel and are 439g. We looked at different scenarios from longer bolts into the case so effectively it becomes a brace and isolating the case mount points completely. Welding studs, threaded studs and countersunk. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=713485&page=3 Post 44. At the moment this is for the SE, if enough interest I will make one for the Adventurer to accommodate the adventures skid plate[/FONT], a UK guinea pig will be needed, please PM me if you're interested, I live in Dorset. Guys I'm not trying to compete with other makers out there, this is my creation as an engineered solution for me. But if there is interest enough, say 20 or so I can have a batch made up, if not, I'm happy either way. I estimate, talking to Mike, £40 quid per kit, making it worthwhile for him, but hopefully it will be less. All I need to do now is powder coat or paint. This is a test piece just to find the best stud, countersunk solution.
