My T-Mobile XD does nothing when I enter *#*#INFO...etc. However, the GPS CAN be turned on while in airplane mode. My ATT XD OTOH, behaves as described by ohgood and *#*#INFO works.

My XD is a T-Mobile as well. Maybe the T-Mobiles are red-headed step children? There's a common thread around here somewhere ....

    Hi all.
Just picked up a Duraforce Pro from a lady friend. Said she didnt like it because it wouldn't make ot receive calls over wifi. Is there a trick to doing this?
    Thanks

WiFi calling is a function of both phone and carrier/phone service. To further complicate matters, a service provider may have different plans, only some of which offer it. The first place to ask is the service provider. Tell them what phone you have and ask them.

I'm running an S7 Edge also in a Spigen case. Screen on, auto brightness, Wi-Fi on, bluetooth on, data on. With OsmAnd, navigating a GPX my phone charged relativly quick from 60% to 100%. I don't know the exact duration, but I assume it's about an hour.
For better visibility I use a night mode (fixed). This result in a mostly black screen, since our devices use AMOLED screens it also helps reducing the power draw of the screen. Don't know if it's relevant but I use the night mode in combination with map style LightRS.

You should be able to make wifi calls over apps such as Whatsapp

In other news, has anyone encountered or used phones from the mighty Doogee? (For it is they!)

While being pestered by Aliexpress to report a shipment of random bits as received, I noticed an ad for these:

    https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...2-FHD-Helio-P25-Octa/2528010_32843875744.html

Android phone with fingerprint recognition, 21mp camera, Android, 5580mAh battery, wireless charging, dual sim, and full IP68 rated?

I browsed through the Doogee comments not looking too great. I did notice one comment though that matches DFpro sentiments on ebay about picture quality... The odd poster mentioning the "free" Open camera app on the play store is reportedly taking better pictures...
I just down loaded the app so will give it a try.

I rode for a few hours today on my KTM 200 doing basically enduro/trials training. This cheapo mount is just to the side of my upper bar clamp so the phone is right on top of the bars, tight to the bar. The DF Pro came out twice, both when I dropped the bike. I'm going to put on a tether, but I think it actually works very well. If the little arms were 1/4" longer it would be perfect.

If it popped out I'd say it doesn't work well at all.

Do the bars flex at all? If the the phone is contacting them, any flex might be popping the phone out.
    Just a thought.

the rigid mounts do not like being smacked around.

    use a flexible mount:

While I am posting I will update on the little charger I chose because of the tidy coiled wire. See post here http://advrider.com/index.php?threa...phones-my-guide.1206076/page-35#post-33410260 Anyway the little charger just stopped working. It lasted about six months. I did leave it plugged into power most of those six months so that may have contributed to its demise. I do leave chargers plugged in my cars continuously with no failures. Anyway, I decide to go with a regular wire USB plug so I could easily change out to any charger in the field.

Hey slartidbartfast, when are you leaving for Alaska? June 1st I am doing this https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewe...ll=55.041237872282174,-124.12180000000001&z=4 I have five weeks to make the trip.
