Sadly, just found it on a news source in Asotin County, WA...totally gutted in fire.

Many riders and others have stopped there while driving the "Rattlesnake" or fishing the Grand Ronde....for me it was all about the chocolate milkshakes...

    Definitely an iconic location.

I'll miss it. The milkshakes were top of the line and so were the people. It makes me sad that it's gone. I hope the owners have enough insurance so they aren't financially devastated as well.

    Oh, that is bad news.

I hope they are made well by insurance and rebuild.

Add some small cabins and a campground while they're at it.

Shoot, we stopped there this summer on the way to the Nez Rally just before closing time so we didn't get a shake...

The owners are pretty old. I hope they sell it to someone to rebuild.

The good news is the Troy restaurant is under new ownership and is now called the Wenaha resort.

Troy opening back up is good news a least there's that. I was afraid it wouldn't open again.

    :(:

I wish I had not passed it by so many times. I have stopped only twice, the last time two times I was near.

I am sure I would have gone again next June, and maybe have gotten the milkshake I was too full for after the burger last time.

I did at least get a sticker, but now I will have to go to Fields for the milkshake.

Major loss to those of us who enjoy riding in that area. Hope they rebuild, it is a family business.

For a good milkshake go to the Sprag Pole in Murray, ID. They make them the old fashioned way and serve them in the metal mixing cup. While you are there you can enjoy the eclectic museum. If the shakes aren't enough there is some good riding in the area.

The Sportsman's Club in Wamic. Real deal hand mixed because the machine was busted. That's just barely east of the Cascade peak.
