A 2003 that I got in 9/2002. It took my son and I on some great 2-up rides before he got his own bike at 16. Our Colorado trip is a particular favorite. My son still talks about our 720 mile day coming back from the Oshkosh Fly-In in 2003. This is the only motorcycle that I ever felt a pang of regret about selling as the new owner rode off on it.

Keep the pictures and stories coming, don't own a Connie, but I think the first generation is one of the best bikes for the buck ever built. I've sat on a few in the past, and they just seemed to "fit" me well. Already have a GoldWing for touring duty. But if I didn't the Connie would be it. Carry On.

Here's a picture of my Concours. I added a set of tip over bars over the winter and plan to add a Piaa headight bulb and relay later this winter. I made my trailer hitch and pull my vending trailer to many rally's and swap meets during the riding season. I got to spend over 40 days in a tent last year and can't wait to do again this year. 2HE

    Amazing you noticed !

    Interesting story about that....

The picture shown was taken prior to buying the bike when I was shopping around. It is in the previous owners driveway. Look around in the background and it may give you an idea of the technical sophistication of the guy. He was not very mechanically adept... This played to my advantage when it came time to barter the price. He bought the thing and only rode it 500 mi before selling it to me. When I rode it home it became apparent why.......

It was the most ill handling, poor riding POS I've ever been on. Not at all like other Concs I'd ridden. Tire pressure completely OTL, the OEM tires (junk to begin with) were squared off worse than any I have ever seen. Rear shock had 0 psi. It was terrifying.

After a complete teardown, new Avons and the mods listed it is a completely different bike. Damn good thing, too.

Excessive use of the Concs front brake will put you on your face faster than on any other (top heavy) bike I've ever ridden.
