I only tapped mine so I could keep the factory ends. It was very easy to tap them with a cheap $6 tap from NAPA. If I had to do it again I would probably stay with the tapping method just seems stronger to me. I'm probably going to make my own hand guard protectors similar to these so I think I am going to be glad I tapped the bars. image.png

I would like some aftermarket bars that would work without risers . That would give more sweep and rise. Comparable to 2" rox risers. What would you all recommend?

I picked up some Protaper ATV Hi to try them out, they look pretty similar in all dimensions to the stock bars. I'll try them for awhile but eventually I'll probably end up with the Raptors.

If you could manage to take some pictures of the two bars together (OEM and ATV High) others would likely find the pictures very helpful.
These last two pictures I found of the OEM Vs Raptors have been referenced over many forums.

I'm talking about the Protaper Contour ATV Hi bars, not the Protaper Evo ADV bars

I'm interested in the Raptor bars, but I currently have a Kaoko throttle lock and Barkbuster Storms on my 2012 Tiger. Does anyone know if the throttle lock can be installed if I use the Barkbuster expanding inserts for the Protaper bars instead of the stock Tiger threaded inserts? Or am I better off tapping my new bars to install the stock inserts?
