Thanks, Bob! If he makes it up here, we'll see what he decides to do.
See you this evening,
All I can say is WOW!!! The crawfish pie and garlic smashed potatoes at "Eat" in the French Quarter is worth the ride. Maybe we should do a weekend dinner ride sometime.
Buy 'em books, send 'em to school..............
Once years ago in a different life (whatever) I had a delivery in Houma, LA. Worked my way from there northward toward NO. Stopped at a little roadside catfish joint. Oh, my.....
But back to your post, I can almost hear Hank singing! :eek1
Anyone hear about the Handle Bar closing?Supposedly they are relocating and will reopen in Spetember. The word I read said they didn't have a location to re-open at.
Loren, I was singing that song in my head the whole time I was ordering.
Wish I was there with you. Probably more likely to go have a burger near Cumberland Gap though. (You probably don't have enough time to take a route that I might take to NO.
From what I was told, they filed for bankruptcy and are closing that location and plan on reorganizing and open up at a new location in the future.
Ok.That sounds reasonable and would explain why not details were given about a future locale.Management must have been off.It seemed like they had the customers coming in to cover their cost layout.I've been in the restaurant management business, just not their specific venue.Anyway it goes,I hope they recover and make a successful come back.
Anyone making plans for Wednesday?I'm in.Where will we meet this week?
I've been trying to think of a place with a nice outside seating area. So far I've only come up with Wild Ace in downtown Greer.
Any other options?
American Roadside Burgers is downtown G'ville with outdoor seating.
301 E. MCBEE AVENUE
GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA
It's like a Five Guys with a bar.
So that means lots of fried food and $7 burgers.
Sounds good to me!!!
I'm game.Wait,is that close to Woodruff road?
It's actually quite convenient, really. 385 to Church, two blocks then right on Washington. One block until a left on Spring. Then a block and it is on the corner. So it is "downtown" but not tough to get in and out of quickly.
Is that response to my Woodruff Rd Comment?I come in off hwy 29 to Academy then on Main down to McBee.I think that's how I went last night.I was to busy booty shopping from the saddle while riding Main.
Don't ask, don't tell.
We got the place nailed down.
Now, who is actually going?
It is tonight, right?
