No need for a front rack here

I went with the Raceway Nose Rack for my Arctic and I too got it because I thought it looked good. I have found two good uses for it. It's perfect for holding an 8 pack of Guinness and I use it all the time to hold my helmet.

Here's mine loaded for a trip with the nose rack in "helmet containment mode":

G'day, I got my rack from Raceway Services. I use it to carry my first aid kit when touring and as somewhere secure to put my helmet.

Extra weight forward of the sidecar axle especially on the nose is really dangerous. I know this from experience. Your rig will ill handle at speed. I almost got sucked into a semi truck a couple of times on one trip.

Lots of good storage ideas in this thread. I put a top box that I had laying around on the rear rack my Ural. Handy for light stuff.

We still have the tooling to make both the front and rear racks for the Ural, The front rack you do not want anything heavy on it.

I'm glad we had the front rack for lighter stuff. I already had a loaded tub, panniers, soft trunk and other shit all over the bike.

But at least I counterweighted the extra load on the nose. :D

I've got the Raceway rack with the wooden slat kit but I hardly ever carry anything. It just looks so cool.:D

Ordered the Raceway front rack for a Patrol, before installing I sold the Patrol. Bought a Gear Up.
Anyone interested in swapping their Gear Up front rack(with spotlight cutout) for my new Patrol front rack (no cut out for spotlight) ?????

    Anybody?

    Thanks

You should contact Raceway. They sound like good people and might do the swap.
