When I was coming home from Alaska I met 2 guys on 800 GS's. They had a blank sticker map of the US, with individual state stickers (on their panniers) to fill in where you have been. Does anyone know where I can find this? I tried google and only came up with ones made for kids in school. I searched our forum with no luck. Thanks:D

Are those the same instructions that came free with my State of Kansas Jello mold?

i would go to a sign maker, or the kiosk in the mall that does vinyl stickers for front vanity plates. they could probably make, to any size scale, a base blank u.s. shape, and then do another, laser cutting out the individual states.

I have seen maps/stickers like you're talking about for sale at RV places like Camping World before.

The challenge is to find one small enough to fit on a pannier. The RV ones seem to be 20" wide. Awhile back someone did a custom run for the folks on the chain gang (f650.com), but I don't think he ever made another batch.

^ "Hours of fun", huh? :rofl

If they're paper stickers, they'll last about a week. Those books say "reusable", kinda worries me they're not gonna stick real well.

    "Map measures approx. 18.5" x 12"." :deal

If you have a color laser printer or access to one just make your own. Download an outline map of the US, and in whatever graphics program you like, color in the states you want and size it to fit your needs. Then print it out on this paper:

Been on my bike for a month or two and shows no sign of problems. A pressure washer might take it off but it seems like it's backing is good as any other sticker glue.

These are like the ones made for the Chain Gang. The remaining few extras were sent to Happy Trails to be sold. I think they had four sets left when I ordered mine a little over a year ago. Might be worth Googling up HT and giving them a phone call to check. Hold on to your wallet, though - about $45 for the set because its all Scotchlite reflective material.

They were $40 when they had them, but they are now sold out... :cry

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for to go on the back of my rig! And in reflective even...

    The search continues...

I have been thinking about having a sign shop make up the outline in black reflective, and the states in white/silver reflective to go on the back of the red sidecar. That would leave a set in the opposite color scheme to use elsewhere or for someone else.

If the person who did the original group buy doesn't want to do another run, perhaps he would be willing to send the graphics files to myself or someone else who would be willing to do the work of putting it all together?

Maybe HT would be interested in making up a batch and offering them up for sale?

    Just thowing out thoughts here....

The guy that did the original run of stickers for the Chain Gang may be willing to do another run if a big enough order is put in. Previously that number was minimum of 10 with a price of either $40 or $45 each.

His screen name on f650.com is Checkers , but he hasn't posted since back around May. He is a member of the Idaho BMW Riders, and I believe his first name is Steve.

If anyone wants to take on a group buy, you may be able to track him down through the Chain Gang or Idaho BMW Riders club. http://www.idahobmwriders.com/index.html

I love mine that's on my helmet, it's a standard vinyl sticker with add on vinyl state stickers about 6.25" x 4"

I can make some of these if anyone is interested. I don't have any reflective vinyl right now, but working on getting more vinyl options.
