Next morning, we packed up and headed outa' town - there were two Bald Eagles circling over the lake - oh, and I almost forgot - after the grab, as I was motoring North on the 155, I was lucky enough to see a momma' black bear & cub "coming through the wire" along the side of the road. Did. Not. Stop.

She looked up as I came over the top of a hill and gave me that "Aroouh?" look - she was half-way through it - cub already on my side, about 30 yards off the road. THAT's the sorta' picture I would love to have, but will just have to settle for memory. :sigh

OH yeah - and that 155 was an AWESOME road, thanks! I musta' cruised up-n-down that thing a couple times looking for the 'squatch - missed him the first time because I was headed south... :norton maybe a little fast, too. :D
    Don't say you wouldna! :brow

Senor Lusty was feelin' kinda' hungry... so was I - that 3.5 oz tin of kippers and bag-o-chips wasn't very filling for dinner... so we stopped off in Leavenworth, Washington (NOT Kansas... ) for breakfast.

:slurp Hey - Germany is nine hours ahead of us, it was, like, 7:30 pm or sumptin' Duetsches Time! :D

Lusty made a new friend or two... guess he LIKES metal folk. Maybe I can find the tinman... :evil

After havin' indulged for brunch, we had to burn off some time... so we did what EVERYbody does in Leavenworth - visited the stores!
The Hat store (or some such...) is where you find people spending good money on silly (and cheap - but who am I to say) but not inexpensive party hats. :dunno

Sr. Crusty liked this one - but they didn't have one in his size :spam

dammit - fuzzy pictures and now I can't even FIND one! Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it. :norton

There was also a store - "Jubilee Fair Trade" that we visited.
Now, I was thinkin' it'd be some kinda' barter, and was wondering what I could get for old Senior Busty... but no :cry it wasn't that kinda' trade. :deal

The gal behind the counter was passionate about their cause, and took the time to explain lotsa' stuff to this old-timer :gerg - didn't walk out with anything, as it wasn't really ~my thing~ that they sell up there, but I dig the message. Check it out. :deal ...or don't - it's cool. :1drink

Filled the tank and burned the ~180 miles home, downloaded the bags and then took the little bike (DR 200 YaY :pynd) for another ~100 miles, but that's another story.

THE PLAN: Sr. Nutshell will get a little buff while he's visiting... think "Wizard of Oz - Tin man, Lion, Scarecrow and Dorothy at the Salon"
Then, maybe, in a week or two... THE DROP. :evil

Oh - quitcher' whinin' - he's movin' ain't he? :ilmostro

Thanks Pat - not sure on your choice of words though...
Der Biermanns Schlitten is my sled - an R100RT w/Ural Sidecar... it's the "heavy hauler" of the fleet. "Francis" there is swift and sure of foot... the long-haul rides generally go to him. Frank hadn't had a workout since December, while the Schlitten and the new-to-me little bike have been at least gettin' day-rides... man I love that old bike. Hell, they're ALL fun!

One last shot for the day:

Tony the Tiger, does not matter how long it take to make the drop. Just keep the pics of Mr. Nutsy's adventures coming.

So - Senor Fuentes can't be trusted in the garage alone... I took him to work! How often can you do that - show off your nutsy @ work? :norton

I had to leave him alone for a little while... he tried to escape!

I took him to one of the warehouse sections to check out the work-in-progress...

Senor Nutsero had to use the little, uh... I wonder if I should've asked one of the gals to bring him into the little girls room? nah... might'a fell in an' drowned... :lol3

Let's see - this may be the last you see of him, lookin' like this... :evil

The engraving was lost when the first Mr. Nutsy was lost/stolen from a ferry he was zip ties to fairly early in the game. Feel free to engrave ADV USA TOR on him and/or paint him the color of your choice. :D

Apologies if anybody's feelings got hurt - I think the pictures I took ~before~ pretty well documented his lack of preservation. I also think I read where most of the previous markings came off either during an accidental drop or subsequent motorcycle running over... :norton
    It is what it is.:1drink

I ~HAD~ thought about an inscription, but will leave that alone for now.

Suffice it to say - I got a plan. ...and I hope it is agreeable to all.
My "line of business" so to speak, is in packaging and preservation - We ship items world-wide into austere areas all the time, and they have to be "serviceable" when they arrive. Nutsy has been cleaned - next he will be "preserved." Since I ain't got no wild welding skills, I ain't addin' nuthin' to him except a coating... y'all can deal with it from there.
*excepting the OP - if you want to discuss, please PM me*

SO! It's not too rainy today, here in the Great NorthWet... I think I'll have time for a little ride this afternoon. :slurp
