I'm tempted to get up early and grab him before meeting up with the rest of the skum tomorrow morning, but my schedule for the rest of the week is busy enough to preclude making a good drop. Better let someone else have the fun this time!

Is the chain shot his new hiding spot?

Broken fingers transcribe the more lucid ramblings of the deranged mind.

Nutzy is at the base of the sign post on the left next to a rock under the leg of the sign. Magnets and his papers are there too.

Nutzy saw that chain when we stopped for lobster. He was swooning over the nut. :D

Thanks to ruafox for the additional links.

This is my second time I have had nutzy. Read some where around post 112. Yesterday was a little more about moving the little guy than taking him out. No drinks when nutzy is on the bike. 460 miles for the grab. I have all day to head back through Vermont to Western NY.

Thanks to the game for a 1,000 smile trip.

Sent from the phone in my shoe. Maxwell Smart.

Nutzy and I stopped at this place for lobster on route 1. I don't recommend it. Potatoes were cold. Lobster pie was good. Kinda pricy for what i got.

This is where the big chain, anchor and NUT were that Nutzy was smitten over.

Maine is just across the river. I may be back in the area helping my brother move this weekend.

Last night we rode through some of the thickest fog I've ever experienced. It turned an 8 hour round trip into an 11 hour ordeal. We landed at the homestead at 1:30 am. Nutzy's fender-riding, precautionary ideas this morning were too little, too late.

Besides, I don't believe he was thinking too clearly after what appears to have been a night of untold debauchery.

We'll be on the road soon...

A tribute to my all-time favorite beverage. A New England Icon. Moxie: carbonated cough syrup to some, an elixir of the heavens to others.

We found Nutzy at the Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage on the grounds of the Union Fair in Union, Maine...

Thank the good lord that the place was closed, I would hate to have lied to the nice people in the building and tell them that I actually like Moxie... :lol3

Retrieving Nutzy from under the entrance deck at the museum sporting my Atlanta Braves hat, I am a Red Sox fan but I wear the Braves hat in honor of my Dad several times a year, he was a huge Atlanta Fan...

Taking Nutzy for a blast, he needed some shades and I happened to have an extra pair with me....

We're gonna take Nutzy for a nice little ride in the morning to move the Maine Tag but probably leave him down state in a place that will be indicative of the history of Maine for the USA Tag... this should help in his getting out of Maine and on to the rest of his journey.

I wish I were headed out for a ride South I would bring him to another state myself...

Nice grab...

Nutzy needs to head West beyond Ohio. That would be more indicative of the goal of the game listed on the first page of this thread--to visit all lower 48 states. He's never been out that way, but he's already been up and down the East Coast.

Got any vacation time? I hear Kansas is nice this time of year. :evil

I will be heading to San Diego soon but not on two wheels. :cry We will drop him in a place easy to pick up for South-West travel later today...

Maine has a rich shipbuilding history and the Maine Maritime Museum celebrates that heritage.

There is a placard in front of this amazing structure depicting the Wyoming afloat; the largest six-masted schooner ever built and Nutzy is at the base of that sign, in back, just below the surface and covered with wood chips and bark. I had hoped to use his strong magnets to hold him to that post but it is aluminum…. :lol3

While we had Nutzy we also took the little guy out for an ice cream, in the morning we took him to breakfast at a place called the Dam Diner off the Long Falls Dam Road in New Portland and carried on the museum theme that Mainebaoder88 started by taking in an adventure this morning visiting the Maine Ski Museum and the Stanley Steamer Museum in Kingfield.

If you really want to see all those silly photos I can post some but I did not want to bore all of ya’ll to tears…

Hopefully this will be near enough to the border that someone can swing up and snag this to haul Nutzy South and West…
Best,
Rob

Sad part is, judging from the NA game, there seems to be little interest to the west.
