We made it home after surviving the Canol, Ross River, and Dick. Your pick which was the toughest adventure! Dick was a most gracious host and we had quite the time with the "Greek". By the time we hit Tok, planning to run home, I was felling a little out of sorts. Hot. Barley make it to Glenallen, burning up, headache, hot. Gassed up and grabbed Gatorade and water at the corner. Could barely walk, but the riding was not as bad (explain that). Anyway we got a room there, took pills, drank everything I could, watched some Olympics (until the power went out), and tried to sleep. The room finally cooled down about 4AM and got to sleep well until 6AM when people started leaving the hotel out the back door. Not a good room by that door! Anyway, I bet my temp was a good 104. Here at home last night it was up to 102 and I did not feel as hot as I did in Glenallen. My back up plan was gonna be to call Beezer to bring my car and ride my bike back, or call one of you other FF who had the time. Sorry that didn't work out! I am downloading pics now. South Canol trail (not a road otherwise the gov has to maintain) was the most scenic route! It was almost a 5 hour run to Ross, the last 10 miles of the Canol had slimy mud stretches along a cliff that was a little hairy, but it was all good in the end. Another most excellent summer on the road, visiting family, and spending some quality time with Gina. We are very happy to have the Strom home for 2up rides. Now I just have to shake this bug thing! and clean the bike!
