not able to update the blog on the canal so far - won't hook up to the host. But we will work on it! Tom, you'd better ask her 'cause I am finding out daily that I can't afford her!

Hit up a small tavern in Clamecy where we are moored up for a couple days... life is tough on the canal so we need to take a day of rest!

We are off the boat and on the road - just separated from Gina's parents yesterday. Today Champagne! Then off to Normandy and beyond. All is well (maybe a small vibration in the bike... play that by ear) and will try to upload some pics later. Internet is here and there and usually not convenient. Cool weather lately - some precip... Dry camping last night though!

We toured Mumm's… they have 25 million bottles of champagne stored under their place (we saw a few thousand on our tour). Had to get one since we bought a Chablis wine in Chablis, France the other day… I will tell you about the "pink" champagne I ordered that came with pink biscuits sometime…

Another place down the road claims to have 250,000,000 bottles stored underneath... Any know this place?

    Close Griz, real close...

We are in a room tonight after a night of rain - you know the routine: hang up the wet tent in some way that does not take up the whole room! (rooms are small in Europe)

We are in the 2nd most visited place in France, Le Mont Saint Michel. We are actually in the middle of the "isle". ($$) The bike is in a general parking lot on the mainland about a mile away since you can't drive here.

We just reserved a camping spot in the town on the mainland for the 10th so we can watch the Tour de France! We are excited about that!!! Maybe I will slip in with Gina videoing as we go...
