We had a fun one yesterday. Not many pics and you'd have to ask the other guys where we went, but lots of fun and stunning views.

Day 2 (Sun) La Sal, UT - Wanted to connect the pass from earlier this year and do some exploring.
Found some single track in a UT Trust Lands area completely by dumb luck checking out campsites and trail heads.
Lack of sleep and proper coffee my bike decided I was too sloppy so pitched itself off the trail, backwards. On the plus side I'm getting better at flying then falling.

Day 1 (Sat) Ophir, CO - 130 odd miles, 6 passes, 7 hours. (lost a gpx section b/w Ophir and BB)
Too rushed but was being chased by storm clouds and got caught in the rain (and sleet in Silverton) a few times.
Ophir, Black Bear, Imogene, Engineer, Cinnamon, Ophir.
First time riding in CO on essentially a mountain bike powered by a chunk of the sun. Can't wait to return next week!
CO passes 20170902.JPG Thumbs up to start the day, or the signal for giddy-up no time to sit. IMG_20170902_105549.jpg Telluride, CO with the Film Festival. Angelina is down there somewhere, apparently not at all concerned about my safety on the steps of Black Bear. IMG_20170902_121622.jpg Engineer Pass. Originally was going to close the loop with Corkscrew Pass but decided on a whim and a reco from a cute girl (danger danger) waiting for her hubby to air back up that this was THE pass to ride. Ok, let's go. IMG_20170902_132254.jpg
btw - Love this bottomless gas tank. Full up with a 200+ mile range there's not a care in the world going in any direction for as long as your ass will cooperate. Just remember you've had it upside down a couple times so

    Day 1 (cont).
Heard a familiar voice at the top of BB and it had to be Tyler (eveRide) and his buddies doing some filming.
Great to meet you and thanks for the work you do.

I'll be doing a camp-and-ride out of Joes Valley Campground in central Utah:

    https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mantilasal/recarea/?recid=73126

I'll be arriving Tuesday afternoon and departing Friday AM. Wednesday and Thursday will be my main riding days.

I won't be doing anything hard core; easy and low risk work best for me... I have a couple loops planned using Skyline Drive as the main artery for exploring spurs and branches that look interesting.

If anyone is interested in joining me for any portion of Wed or Thur's ride or even to just trade lies over the evening campfire, send me a PM. I'm also up on the GroupMe chat/text app; I'm part of the N. Utah ADVers group. Here's the 'invite' link if you're interested in joining:

    Cheers...

My son and I rode Manti-Lasal/Skyline over Labor Day. Super fun area with lots of available dirt roads and dual track.

Great website - thanks for sharing. I've been looking for a resource that lists advisories of this nature.

I typically ride and camp alone so it kind of ups the ante in terms of needing to be informed. Thanks again!

Man, suddenly everyone is out riding. Guessing cooler temps.

Just returned from a 15 day loop through ID, BC, AB, MT, and back to UT. Sort of a repeat of last year but longer and done better.

Used much of the IDBDR and the CDT. Got rerouted twice running into closures due to fires. Once just north of the Salmon River using IDBDR trying to make our way to Route 14. Next time coming south of I-90 on Rock Creek Road/102 trying to get to the Skalkaho Road. If you were up there, you understand the extent of fires and air quality.

I seen this also on the way. I doubt there was any parking going on.

    New Utard here!

    [IMG] upload_2017-9-12_8-56-53.png

Been on ADV rider for a while but not as active since I was in college. Got more free time now and a better bike.

I'll monitor this thread as well as other regionals to see if there is anything organized going on in my area. Down for day rides if people happen to be passing anywhere 100-150 miles from the Salt lake area.

Unfortunately I don't have a truck or anything so I can't trailer around the state, got to ride everywhere, so I'm a bit constrained as to how far I can get in a short amount of time.

Im familiar with the Mirror lake area and trails, HWY 150. Also familiar with trails down by Moab since I've been there a few times. Otherwise new and looking for places to go!

I went riding in American Fork Canyon yesterday. I did a loop out of Tibble Fork trail 040 to 157 to 041 to 173, back to 157, 041 and 040 to complete the loop. I saw one guy on a KTM 450 but otherwise had the place to myself. I need to figure out how to get more Mondays off to ride!

Found this nice little rock garden while exploring around Logan yesterday. The big girl does surprisingly well as long as you keep a little momentum but I might ride the 350 next time I take this route.
