Read the paper. It's already 25% off (from 06).

Stuff is selling if you are willing to price it for todays market.:deal

I'll be so glad when this remodel is over and I can get back to riding.

Had an interesting mission today. A friend's ST1300 died in Kamas. Right next to a Chevron, coincidentally.

Anyway, I was not able to get a hold of the guy that had a trailer waiting for me to use to go rescue the ST for a while, so I send a preliminary text to a bunch of FFs to see if anyone had a backup trailer....

Soon, I got flooded with replies of people offering their trailer. Man, I'm glad I know all you FFs! Just wanted to say thanks for the offers. I was able to get a hold the guy that had the trailer after all and ended up not needing to use the backup option(you guys).

Now I am wondering why that ST stalled. The engine was working, just no power transferred to the wheel when the engine was hot. Once cooled, "some" power could be used, but it wasn't enough to ride the bike up the trailer. Never seen anything like it. Guess those Hondas aren't that bullet proof after all! It only has 13k miles, but HondaSuzuki are the guys doing maintenance on it though. :dunno

Go to the basics, fuel, compression and spark.
It would check the fuel pressure on the rail, pull a spark plug and check. Compression should be OK on a new bike.
Check STowners.com, the forums can be a good resource.
or I could always say, should have bought a FJR.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with the engine. It rev's just fine. Just no power to the wheel. I'm sure it's a clutch problem.

Unfortunately, this guys is one of those that are not mechanically inclined. So I'll just have to wait for a reply from hondasuzuki instead of tinkering w/ the bike and finding out what happened. Just FYI, hondasuzuki is a dealership that doesn't really have a stellar reputation 'round here. But, on a bike that is still under warranty I guess you have to maintain it through the dealer, so oh well!

Anybody riding mid-large bike tomorrow? I've got the sumo tires on my bike but could be back in dirt mode real fast.

I wasn't planning on riding. But I might be convinced.

Today my brother got the riding bug. He just got an '06 SV650 with only 1400 miles. I went with him to help negotiate and inspect the bike. I was in shock when I offered $2800 and the previous owner took it. What a good freakin' deal! :huh

Actually this is not the hardest part of the trail. Even though that pictures shows there is no dirt, the shale is a decent surface with only the occasional big rock. The lower part of the trail is worse with lots of large rocks. Ask Hickonacrick about it.

Sometimes the switchbacks can be tough as well, there are a few sections that are pretty steep and loose.

My 14 year old son and I last rode it in July. We were able to make it to the top. Here is a picture of him in front of the Regulator Johnson Mine. He didn't complain once. Future adventure rider this one is.
