Right arm! I want to see these things in person. Harcus, let me know when and where!
My friend called and still wants to go camping, sorry, guess I am out.
Thanks for checking in... 'nother time I guess.
I'm looking at picking up a torque wrench. Any recommendations on the best torque wrench?
I'm slowly gathering gear; just picked up this helmet:
I would love to ride this weekend, but I have a date with 3500sq/ft of cedar fence; she is ready to be oiled up and I hope to beat the snow.
When the new helmet arrives I'll be ready for desert trip (big salty loop) or something.
Have good weekend
Did a fun and easy 310 mile loop (260 dirt-50 slab) in the West Desert today.
Went by this.
Did plenty of this.
Had fun here.
Didn't have fun here.
Ran out of gas but got REALLY lucky.
Had fun again.
Then not so much fun.
Looks like you got to experience what hapens to that area when it gets rained on. Kinda suck doesn't it. Slick as snot but sticks like glue. And a pain in the ass to ride in. Looks like the rest of the ride made up for it. Make sure to wash the bike asap as it will eat the metal at a very fast pace.
Hey Trackhead, looks like tight single track is your thing.
I guess so. Mapping a ride that crosses "mud flats" on the map probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.
Commander51 (KTM 300), Dirty-Diesel (new 1972 250cc enduro!), and my XR4... we'd planned to ride the Grantsville Front single track, but it was too muddy so we stuck to the roads.
lots o this!
then commander51 figured he'd do a Nosey rather than go into the ditch, but the Nosey didn't stop him! I hope you got that on you helmet cam video!
Which one of you got a new bike???? Well thanks to you I got hailed/snowed on looping around sand mountain. It sucks but winters getting close....... better get those last rides in.
Dirty-Diesel (the n00b) got a new 1972 250cc Yami, that he gutted in a day to ready for the killa ride we did...
desert season is around the corner! where's the sand mtn pics?!
Thats the sad thing I was in the desert. I guess we gotta drive south a few more hours.
I had that same bike years back. I'd still have it but my bro in montana uses it on his land.
No pics it was a 90 mile car to car ride with no stops.
I am thinking to go to 5 mile pass this afternoon. Want to get out for a little bid. Any takers?

Rode Saturday and Sunday. SLC to Nebo loop road, Huntington Canyon, Castle Dale, San Rafael Wedge Overlook, S.R. River Road, Hwy 6, Ray's Tavern, White Rim Trail then a slab-slide to Slick. Thirty seven hours garage to garage, twenty five hours in the saddle, and 740 miles on the odometer.<o></o>
Perfect weather, perfect bike, bitchin' ride. Wished you were there!<o></o>
I made it around the neighborhood with kids in tow yesterday... thats about it. If weather is going to be good this Sunday, I am going to hit Delles or 5 mile.
I was in the swell Saturday and Sunday. I gave the ADV-salute to every rider I saw, but nobody seemed happy about it :fyyff
You're right, the weather would have been perfect for riding...I screwed up and made a promise to take someone from the East Coast camping and hiking. I thought he was going to have a heart attack when he found out his iPhone wouldn't work in the swell. I had 4 messages on my voice-mail from his crazy girlfriend asking if he was alive or dead, plus she had called MY wife complaining because she couldn't reach him.
I guess he won't be allowed to play with me anymore.
