Those of you with an affinity for orange kool-aid will appriciate this.

They talk like they are from Provo, but ride like Salt Lakers.

That's a superhighway through Baja........if it is paved, it's often got a layer of dirt on it......and there is no such thing as a shoulder........the side marker and solid white line often runs off the broken edges......I found a semi climing up some twisties that only left me 2-3 feet to get around him while I headed down...........mucho loco gringo's ............. :D

$20,000 for a fugly, heavy ass bike with a gigantic fairing and roll chart that maybe 1% of the population would use. Most would buy it just to hang out at the coffee shop playing the part of "adventure rider".

You just have to look at it with the "Chrome crowd" mentality.

My street riding friends had $40K Harleys. Nothing gave me bigger grins
than running circles around them with a little $4K SV 650.:D

While you would never want a rider to go down, sometimes they just ask for it.

Yes a bit expensive but that is a trick looking bike! I think Im liking this move to smaller bikes in the Dakar as it'll force mfgs to put work into their smaller bikes and develop them. It's good for all!

Speaking of bikes, I may have a buyer for my XRR and need to get it up to Idaho Falls. Or if...someone needs to get up there at the same time we could split gas. Anyone?

I received this from Infidel this morning at 9:01.....

Chris and the bike got started an hour ago. We are in Mulage on the
coast for the day. Michelle scheduled to pass off the bike in 14-15
hours at San Ignacio. Then Frank through the night and Matt takes the
final leg to La Paz. So far its gone well. Team 202x
