...for those of you with a gag reflex, Harcus and I rode some stuff nearby (to be UnNamed, but we'd take you there) that wasn't gag worthy, but did have a pucker factor for the conditions. Here's Harcus off the Sad Side of the trail (Trackhead taught me "sad side" and i love it) :patch I guess we've now proven what those KtM's are worth!

    It wasn't all sad though.

Anyone here have any advice on getting a real world cost estimate on a garage being built?
It requires some excavating into a hill and attaching it to the existing house/garage.
So far I have only liked one house, but most all of them we have seen have garages about a few feet too short. I would have to air down tires just to drive into them. :cry Forget about jacking anything up once in them. What happened here in the seventies that garages got so short? :lol

Man, I had this same plan a while back, and my wife put the kabosh to it. After the school bus fiasco, I figured I was lucky to squeeze in a van to work on and use as a mini RV.
Still, every Fuso I see is in my mind a great platform for a moto RV/ski climb ride bum truck.
    Someday...

Next time through I'll probably be back on the moto, but it's nice to leave the shitshow that is Moab and head to the mountains above.

Yep. I went out looking for Bin Laden in the west desert a while back, but I couldn't find him.

i've been looking into it for a while with our new house. There are some very cheap vendors that build garages complete with concrete and all work on KSL, about $10-12G for a decent 2 car garage building it seems...

I used A-Shed about 5 years ago. 24X24 level lot. I did have them vinyl side it. I think it was 18K.
They did the cement and permits. That did not include any drywall work.

If anyone can offer up use of a tire changer, or some expertise, I pay in wobbly pops or good company. :deal

My wife wants to have her front tire on the SV changed out, and I don't know if I can just spoon it off, or if I really have to pay a shop to do it. We have the tire already, it's a half used unit from my Triumph. Well, someone else has the Triumph now, but I still have the tire. They have a tire, oh you know what I mean.

I just looked up the process for those fancy pants street bike wheels. I don't think my ol dirt bike tire spoons are going to work. :rofl
Maybe it's worth just paying someone, and I should stop being so darn cheap.

To give you a little. Credit, I think the Wolverines was their High School Mascot, and that is what they called themselves.

It isn't that bad. I did my V-Strom last fall. Two things you have to be careful of. First, trying not to scratch the paint on your street wheels. Second they need to be balanced. I bought a set of rim protectors that worked quite well for $5-10. (They are reusable). I opted for dyna beads instead of wheel weights. I have about 1500 miles on them and they ride real smooth. I'd be happy to help you if you still want to do it yourself. Send me a pm and we can set something up.
