I have a head that is longer front-to-back than many helmet makers accommodate. Most of the time when I buy a new helmet, it hurts my forehead until I remove the padding, and sand down the forehead area a little bit. A little sanding of the foam shouldn't affect its performance.

I've worn one before. It needs a few couple hour rides to get the padding comfortable but I'm not able to ride until prerun and don't want to risk having a helmet that gives me a headache.

Okay, you need to be spending this retirement time coming up with a new Beast friendly
    ride.:deal

I've got my new wheel set up back from Woody's looking to test it out. Excel rim and HD spokes.
They claim it's sealed for tubeless tires. So far it's holding air.

After Harcus said the LED lights are the bomb I also got this 6" (never been able to claim that before)
LED light bar. They are bright.:D

That Yamaha front end looks just like your mangina image......:lol3

And the way you burn miles, I put this Copper Canyon route together for you: http://goo.gl/maps/YRnwy

Just under 3300 miles and several scenic locations, I've heard that San Carlos is the bomb.....Google says 65 hours of running time but they've never used you for timing confirmations.....probably 45 hours?

I could meet you along the route. Been thinking of getting some SM wheels for the SE making it an SE/ADV/SM/ST

    Actually,

Now that I will be traveling back and forth to TN on a regular basis, I am considering a sport-touring motorcycle. I test rode a Honda ST1300, an FJR 1300, and also a 1600 Gold Wing. By far, I liked the Honda ST the best. I hated the Gold Wing, although it handled amazingly well.

What I liked about the ST was linear power, good wind protection, decent handling, and less vibration cruising at 80 mph than even the Gold Wing.

Any of you bitches have lots of miles on different sport tourers that can throw a dog in this fight?

I've had two FJRs. You want the second generation, 06 on. The Honda is nice, typical Honda refined
to the point of almost boredom. Kinda hot as well. My first FJR was a furnace. Try a Kawasaki 1400 too.

I sold the FJR after having the Tenere for 6 months. I just never used it. For me the Tenere has better
ergos for travel. I do miss the FJR motor.:D
