The issue w/ the new ride very well could be that it was out of gas...:rofl Not sure though, but i was swapping the stock tank for a monster 6.6 today, and changing the petcocks was a surprise!! You can ride 100 miles on reserve on a ktm! that petcock filter thingy is about 5 inches tall! not so on the xr.

anyway, tis' the season to get ready for the season... tralla lalla la, scoping out the Book Cliff ridge from East Carbon to Green River alllla la laaaa.... beta on the drop to off the ridge to "Woodside"? :ear (check out that rd along the ridge. it looks dicey dropping out to woodside in google earth, so it could go or could be a backtrack. this is #1 on my hit list) provided i can start my bike!:freaky

Sledding-- Had 3-4 feet of new powder yesterday.Did not see any other tracks the whole day. 525 Jetting-- The jd kit works good but it is much cheaper to use an stock 06 450 YZ needle for higher altitudes or a 07 450 YZ needle which is a half clip richer for lower altitudes. Also a Honda diaphram squirts less and works better in the dirt.

Yup, it sucked. I would much rather be shoveling snow off of my driveway but I did that on Saturday so what do you do.

I will say there is feet... I mean feet of snow up in the Wasatch right now. Canyons is the best thing locally for us, 9990 opened and it was killer. Another 2-3 feet coming in the next couple days. Alta is about 98% open too and pretty good right now too. Just mentioning..

Also I'll post in the classifieds section but I'm looking for a smaller / cheaper gun safe (like a 12-14 rifle model) if anyone has one or knows of any leads...

If I understand correctly, your wanting to get on the ridge at East Carbon then travel south and drop off by Woodside?
Not going to happen. If you go up from East Carbon your going to come back down to East Carbon (or go north into Nine Mile). Like wise with Horse Canyon (thats how you access the ridge further south). The 2 trails coming off the top near Woodside have been closed for the usual wilderness study area BS.

Your welcome. Even out and back is a fun ride. I'll probably do it again some day.

Let's not get into this again. You always bait me and when I bite you send me PMs telling me to cool it.

In my quest to help create a better world I have been assisting in cancer research for the past 30 years. Tuesday the results of my work were formally published. It's been a long slow grind but knowing that I have help mankind on a larger scale makes it all worth while. Thank you all for your support.
