I'm planning to ride to Yellowknife, NT, in late June, then roll a bit west and south via the Mackenzie & Laird Hwys back down to Jasper. Any 'tards been up to the NT? and if so what are the good bits I should know?

I'm coming with you if I can get MichaelAngelo's bike for the trip, but we'll have to drop it off in Phoenix to the new buyer, so i hope that's too far out of the way!:clap

I think a couple guys are going to head out for a mellow big bike ride on Sunday. Not sure where yet....was thinking about heading up towards the uintas, but haven't looked at the weather yet. Want it to be mellow....the bikes have anakee type tires on them. Any ideas? Anybody up for a ride?:ear

planning to ride tomorrow (Saturday) somewhere, possibly west desert or a trip down to Green River or similar area for just one day of riding leaving tonight. West desert will be somewhat easy / cherry creek, green river would be more technical with some other KTM riders. If anyone is interested in going let me know! Sunday won't work because I have to be back in PC by 2 unless these was something mellow and melted out not too far away.. Otherwise strong chance we'll be in Fruita / Rabbit Valley next weekend as well for more dirtbike style riding...

I sent my ECU in for a reflash update. I don't think it will be back in time.
You're making a bigger deal about the tires than you need to. Those will
go about anywhere except the Warpman salt/mud flats.

I'm also trying to help my son with his first income property remodel. What we do for the little darlings.:D

So the loose plan is to meet at the BMW shop at 90th south at 9:00 and ride down around 5 mile. Looks like 4 or 5 guys so far. Feel free to jump on if ya want, should be a cruise day.

From a trusted source: wolf creek is epic right now. Pavement is very clean, no runoff to speak of, the snow trenches up top are under a meter in height and there isn't any traffic. Best of all, didn't get any unwanted attention

Good practice and research again this weekend. Big bikes running the desert. I enjoyed the scenery and company. Beemer Adventure, Katoom Adventure, Tiger 800 (very fresh) and the Yammie S10.......:wave

Can't we all just get along.....:lol3

What a great day for a ride! Thanks again for picking the routes Walrus an Medic! I wish we could have gotten pictures of us jumping off a couple of those steep drops, they got my heart pumpin!
I'm going to have to put some TKC's on for these kinds of rides, I don't know how you guys are able to go so fast on loose stuff without them!

And, I'm not one to throw anyone under the bus.....normally....but I'm just saying... Pluric couldn't make this ride and no body wiped out, peed on themselves or had a breakdown.... coincidence?? I'll let you guys be the judge! :rofl

Got a couple questions if anyone wants to chime in. I'm doing a welding art class in June and have an idea to do some furniture out of a car engine. First, does anyone know where the best place to get a small block or maybe inline 4 engine. Then does anyone know of good sand blasting place or if I could rent time on a sand blaster?

    thanks
    David

Ran over Wolf Creek this morning... no traffic what so ever- epic speed run! Hit the bottom on the Hanna side, flipped a bitch and throttled back up. Coming back I had to pass a couple pairs of cars - still not bad at all. Temps were 37 coming out of Woodruff, up to 45 mid mountain, and 40 at the summit... about the same on the east side. Didn't get any warmth until half way down Parleys when it broke 50.

    Diggin' the new ride!
