Thanx 4 tha' link! Looks like a nice ride!

So let me read between the lines here a little... Some guys turned up to a KTM endorsed, run and obviously heavily KTM rider patronised high country tour - on their brand new BMW HP2 "vundermotorrad" and were surprised not to come away with rave reviews on their superb choice of motorcycle?! (vhy am i nott zurprized?! zis ees undbeleivable!)

Yeah, my mate "Brum Brum" here in Sweden was the first ever private owner of a HP2 over here (he ordered it six months in advance of the release date... He's a shaft driven twinn cylinder nut - what can I say!?:huh )

I've ridden it, kinda liked it... wouldn't wanna buy one.

well some guy turned up on a new enough hp2 and I'd like to be able to report how it went but outside a tar section and watching it get stuck in about a foot of water, my only viewe of it was limping into whatever spot we stopped at to re-group... about 2 hours late.

Superb ride, we had two guys fly over from hong kong for it and one of them had never ridden dirt before but coped of a fashion. It'd be a good one to bring a few mates over for if they like fast stuff, good hills either way and a good quick look around.

    Greg,

You can get the Rallye fairing from Race Motorcycles in Fibreglass for about $100.00.

    Start building that other one up . . . . .go on . . . . .

You already got the WP Extremes :jive:cromag

The Hong Kong number reminds me of one of the jap 'Safari competitors entered in the 1992 PIAA event. He was 4 foot 13" tall, 55 kg's with a Sidchrome toolchest in his bumbag and entered on an XR 600! Asked at the press conference in Sydney as to his riding experience, he answerd... " Hi ham post office motorsikkrist for free years in Tokyo!!!" very proudly.

From memory he took a "cut and run" at the 6,00 km Amaroo Park prologue and was on the back of one of the Condo' Crews "sweep" Toyotas long before we got to the first night camp (mostly asfalt the first day through western NSW):huh

    Remember that one GT??!!:lol3

Yeah the Twin Peaks ride looked great...could be some Swedish interest - any images?!
