Hey all, this will only mean anything to folks south of Seattle, but we are having our first motorcycle night here in the Puyallup Valley.
Shooting for something similar to Backfire Moto in Seattle but down south, so we can actually hang out rather than sit in traffic for hours to get up north.
Open to all kinds of bikes, we are focusing on bikes of interest, custom built, vintage, performance, etc.
Come to Bumpy's Bar on E. Main in Puyallup April 12th. About 4-9pm

    I have, been to several.
I had planned to just go to their gig when I moved here, but when there is in the middle of summer only 20-30 bikes, that just does not cut it. Seattle Backfire Moto has 5-600!

I hoping to get something real happening in the south end here, and get to see some eclectic mix of cool bikes!

That would. be cool. If im not working i will be there. My CB 450 wont be done til at least september so looks like I will be riding the 1090. I guesss I could ride my little KE 100. Puyallup is close and I have been to Bumpys many times. Im in. One of the reasons backfire is so huge is that its been happening for decades. Its goi ng to be in SODO this year and looks like the new location will be pretty sweet.

Gee, bummer having to ride a lowly 1090
Whatever it is, it will be great to see you!

For sure it will take time to build up, but I am determined. All it takes is people coming out.

I can appreciate you wanting to get something going down in Southsound . But you might want to talk to the Chief of police down there. I cant imagine that town wanting or allowing 200 bikes running around down there and a quarter of them with loud pipes. Maybe times have changed but back in the day they frowned on cruising and shut that down. Seems like the Seattle cops dont mind the backfire events which is pretty cool. If it is doable in Puyallup great but I’m wondering. I’ll be watching and show up if it pans out!

90C6A159-8D58-411E-9F9B-771A29ACEF94.jpeg Sold all my old bikes to afford one new bike. Quit smoking years ago and have always been afraid of needles, so no old tattoo story’s but I do have some pics of the racks I fabbed for my WR. And I like welding stuff.

What’s the worst that could happen getting a ticket for not parking parallel enough to the curb.

I hear you, but truth is, for the most part we park and hang out. We chose Bumpies because we LOVE IT and they are super happy to host us. Going forward it is VERY possible we may have to move to a more industrial location toward Tacoma. We will see. The important thing is getting things started and getting an event for those of us in the south end to enjoy.
Hope to see you, I will buy the beers

I'll be there, riding in from Sumner on an old 2 smoke. In regards to the comments about prior cruising issues, it's about time we had some fun in Puyallup again.

I had a monster Hobart stick a friend gave me to build him a log splitter then it sat in my garage for a few years. Then when I moved I gave it to my brother in law for his kids to learn how to weld.
The effort in moving the 800 lb beast was a Pima!

I found this wirefeed Hobart on Craigslist in new opened box condition for $475 then bartered for the co2 tank and built the cart.

I call it my metal glue gun it’s that easy to use.

I'm thinking instead of sweet jumps some mud bogging on vintage bikes might be more appropriate, given the forecast.
