spending this winter getting this guy restored in hopes of taking it for trip out west next summer
Is your camera broke?!
I can't seem to get the photos posted yet... Don't know why .
I am going to do wheels, tires, audio ,driving lights , 3M clear bra ,floor mats and line the walls . This is my race van and tire hauler so I can't go nuts as I would like.
I will get photos later.
Gorgeous! If you get to Salida, CO, I'd love to see it!
Done. It was worth the wait.
That's a sexy van! remind me again what all you had done to it?
4X4 conversion, 4" lift, on board air system, skid plate in the back, custom aluminum front bumper, EGR delete, tuner kit, turbo clean, all done by Ujointoffroad.
Thanks but with that 3 speed auto it might take a while. My daughter agreed to come much to my surprise so this might be one epic trip .. if she can put up with me for that long
Nothing better than a pimped out van!
Is that a 7.3PS?
I wish there were more off the shelf options for Econoline bumpers. That one's sweet, I'd like something similar, possibly a bit more conservative, but I'm not spending the $$$$ for any of the current offerings. Seems like half are more than I paid for the van.
It's a 2006 6.0.
Very nice! I keep thinking about converting my van. Someday.
nice van, congrats
I'm with Hayduke, one day I might convert mine- if I don't sell it until then.
Can't find a picture now, but back in Europe they have, used to have anyway, armoured E350s, and I always liked the badass look- kind of like your van, sans the front bumper.
Are the tires 265?
For sale locally. Runs and drives good, just needs a really good cleanup and a little love!
Really nice! Once you've had a 4x4 van it's hard to go back haha!
Anyone familiar with the 3.7 liter V6 VCT engine that WAS shown as one of the three 2014 Transit engine choices (for 2 days on the Ford site , but gone now) ?
My guess is it is the same as the base engine in the F-150.
I was looking for someone having personal experience with that engine, but your lead to the F150 page showed the comparison with the 3.5 Ecoboost engine that the Transit will also have. Their comparison page shows the horsepower and gas mileage figures for both, so that gives me some decent information.
Looks like it would be hard to haul bikes inside, but otherwise pretty cool. Too bad we don't get those in the US.
