Hey Thank you sir....I may have to look you up for some pointers when I head north.
Funny the other day as I was trucking along and when your trucking along there isn't much to do so my thoughts go to anything and every thing, and I wondered if you MR Romanousky was toiling away at some task thinking"wow last year I was out on a really bitchin trip"??????
All too often my friend. I actually kind of dwell on it day in and day out. It probably doesnt help that my work desk looks like:
Ive tried on the idea of settling down and buying a house and doing all that stuff but I have trouble answering the why portion. I am becoming very committed to take on additional work activities in order to save money as fast as possible to get back on the road
.the next trip wont be so short lived though. That trip was hands down the greatest thing I have ever done and I cant think of any way to better spend your time and money.
Cheers to you 8Lives and happy trucking!
More than happy to lend a hand if I can. The way you two handled your trip south. I believe heading to Alaska and points north would be a breeze.
Damn, I keep clicking on next, nothing......its over...:ddog, even tho I started reading a year after you finish, LOVED IT.... got me looking for a DRZ, hope you two get a new ride going again.... Now I can get back to normal life having spent way too many days in a row reading ur awesome RR..
Keep the sunny side up........Ron
You can't go wrong with that bike as many will tell you. We will get a big one going but it's not going to happen soon enough. Glad you enjoyed it!
That was absolutely EPIC, Romanousky!!! I began reading last Monday on my down time at work and just finished the last page. I almost feel like I was along for the ride. I'm at once disappointed that the journey and story are over, and inspired as hell to begin planning my own adventure!! Man, truly a fantastic tale you've shared here. I salute you, good sir!
F*ck Yeah Capt'n! Love it when you guys pull this up from the depths and remind me how I did something worth doing and need to get my ass back out on the road.
Pretty bitchin that this thread still has life and head dude still chimes in,Hell ya!!!!!!
I get it
I am back home now too scrapping my pennies together so i can get back on the road asap.
I might even sell the GS and buy something like a DRZ after my fun on a CRF in SE Asia.
I hope to see you guys out there again........with more dynamite of course
I truly enjoyed this entire report! What an epic trip !
Thank you so much for sharing.
And I am only on page 29, just spent the last 6 hrs reading your report. Truly excellent. I just got back from a short 3 week ride in Peru with my son. Rented bikes from Peru Moto's where you got your sprokets in Cusco. Rode up to the Cordillera Blanca and back, then did the same road and railroad walk as you guys did to MP. Good memories. Nice job.
Good to here from you 8lives.....I gotta look you up for a ride sometime. Be at Shasta lake for a week in July
You might...I need to compile a list of countries where dynamite is easily accessible. The DRZ is a good machine but I'm not sure if you could handle the raw power, the incredible creature comforts, or all of the sex appeal that radiates from from such a grandiose facade.
You sir are a righteous father. Good on ya
PM me anytime,if I'm home a ride or meet up will be in order.
Yeah, I know....I'm still compiling video. I guess I just wish I was still on the road.

YEEESSSSSSS! Thanks for the vid, Romanousky!! Coincidentally, I shared your ride report with friends this weekend at a July 4th party and had a few laughs over the Bolivian mine tales!! We get good fireworks up here in Washington, but it ain't no Bolivian dynomite !! Keep 'em coming!!
Excellent work! THANK YOU!
I have truly enjoyed every post on this ride report, this adventure is EPIC.
I know you guys have the good stuff Capt'n. I've taken many a trip to the Chehalis Res back in high school days....I wonder if they are still selling real M80's & cherry bombs out of the "back door" up there. You'd think with all the income tax we pay down here they would let us at least try to catch part of the state on fire
I know it has been quite some time but I finished another video so figured I'd post.
