Versys X above Wilkinson Wa. in July .
Here's mine as I'm still breaking it in at only 270 miles on do
Yep there the E-07s. They are working out great, love them so far. Prolly have about 1500 miles on them so far. That was the first tires I ever put on myself so I don't really have anything to compare them to sorry.
Enjoyed about 10 hours in the saddle Friday. Rode up over Thompson Pass (MT) and down to Murray Idaho. While I was there I found my retirement home. The new foam and cover kit from Seat Concepts made the trip possible with out killing my back side.
Went for my longest ride to date , about 200 miles . gravel is a little coarse .
Another pic next to an old growth stump .
First time in Mountains this weekend. Stabalized hurricane damage at my house on Thursday and headed up Friday. With 11 friends road the area of North Georgia, East Tennessee and West North Carolina, most of time in the 6 gaps region of Georgia with group staying at the Copperhead Lodge near Blairsville, GA. This area of north Georgia holds its own in great motorcycle riding.
Loved riding this bike in mountains. If in a hurry for uphill acceleration drop to 3rd gear and red line is over 60 mph. Turns awesome. Scraped right peg a couple times coming up Blood Mountain in Georgia. That 4 mile climb from south is my favorite stretch of road anywhere I have ridden. Could spend all day just going back and forth on the 4 mile stretch.
129 Photos got this shot of me coming up the Cherohala from Telico Plains, TN. Too many good roads to bother going further out of way north to Deals Gap and Dragon.
Initial break-in run in rural Texas. Cooling down during a heat cycle.
The bike's heat cycle or yours?
I like my green bike but I think the grey/silver is quite elegant.
Was meaning to post this picture in a thread called something like "what bikes do you park next to" but couldn't find that thread.
So I post it here. Not a perfect pic as I think the front of that Ural would be more interesting but this is what it looks like quite often at my parking spot.
BOTH!!! No doubt it was a bit toasty out there. Looking forward to some cooler days.
Lovely early autumn day today.
Every adventure includes a water crossing
And deep forests
And a sunny day in a lovely landscape
Had to ride up over Chinook Pass before it starts to snow . Was a great day in the hi country . 199 miles of some great twistys that the bike loves . A little forest service duty , but not much .
That’s my kind of offroad
And now I have to google ”one room school”
“Thunderbolt and Lightfoot”
