It certainly does look to be mounted to the bars. The angle of the screen is in line with the bars (slightly turned) and not with the bike. That is what make very little sense to me. The bottom of the standard VFR screen is fairly far forward and low on the nose of the bike. I would think it would look very odd from the front with a bar mounted "Cruiser" screen. Really interested to see how the front of that is arranged.

Here is my other picture. Screen looks even bigger in this shot and the bars have serious rise. Not exactly sure where the mirrors are mounted...could be the fairing with extenders.

For comparison my stock screen & bars and Y2K mirrors with extenders.

I put 300 miles on the bike Saturday. LSL bars are starting to feel more normal. Also, the Puig sport touring screen was worth the money. It fixed the buffeting I was getting from sitting up higher in the wind.

Thanks, Twohondas. I'm biased, because I owned one, but that generation still does it for me.

Thanks, it gets ridden a lot around the mountains and dirt roads of WY. Here's some pics of one of my more common day trips out by my house. It's a simple little loop of about 30 miles, but it's fairly remote and quiet and I enjoy the serenity sitting up on the moutain looking out over the prarie.

Those RWB anniversary bikes are just sexy!

What seat cowl is that? Looks like it has storage built in. :ear

That looks like an Axio tail pack. I have one for mine, and it weren't for the need to have the top box for my laptop when I'm commuting, the Axio would be back on. A little pricey, but a great way to add storage that does not detract too much from the bike's looks, either to augment a tank bag or (if you hate tank bags as much as I do) instead of a tank bag.

Noticed the headlights AND highbeams were out. First assumption was the fuse, which is fine. I've read about an issue with the starter switch but figured I'd ask here before tearing into a switch, which is a PITA. 6th Gen with 32k on it, everything else seems to be fine.

Correct, it's an axio tailbag which happens to match the color pretty darn good. Sorry I missed the question back when it was asked.

Looks like the whole screen attaches by brackets to the mirror mounts. Hideous setup. Cant imagine what the combination of the "come to jesus" bars & the aerodynamics of house do to the legendary VFR balance of that poor, mistreated 5th Gen.

I have been lucky with my stock screen on my 5th Gen. Indeed I have been thru many screens on my Goldwing trying to get the perfect balance while I am still riding with my OEM screen on the VFR. I would have liked to talk to the Big Screen VFR owner about what his objectives were but I was too busy looking at this instead.

    And Especially this VFR.

Why not get a ST if you want a really big screen ....plus you get all the other goodies too.

Actually I was thinking about balance in terms of the bikes riding dynamics, not about screen efficacy. Personally I don't get the big screen thing on motorcycles. If someone has problems with the breeze on a bike, maybe they strayed into the wrong hobby. BTW whats the story with your first piccie? Looks like a fun gathering. What is it about?

Nice colour that blue. Are in the alpine region on the Snowy Ride this weekend? Bought a ticket myself but now cant get away.

BTW the first prize this year in the raffle is a nice brand new 6th gen VFR800, courtesy of Honda Oz. But don't tell the septics, they think the 6th gen went out of production in 09.:evil
