I bought a pair of astro headphones off craigslist earlier this year. Dealing with the seller, he said he was a professional gamer, and got a new set every six months or so, and that's why these were for sale.
I went to pick them up, and it was the perfect stereotype of what you would expect. Three guys in a cheap apartment, bong on the table, a couple giant ass tv's with kick ass surround sound systems in the one room, and every gaming system you could imagine hooked up to both.
I too just picked it up today. Can't wait to play it. I love the Hitman franchise.
This past weekend was double XP so that might have helped some of them. I play with one guy who is level 30something on his third prestige, he is just good at FPS games and knows what weapons and loadouts work the best. Helps also that he knows the maps backwards and forwards and always seems to be facing just the right direction, complete opposite of me as I get shot in the back time after time.
I reached level 55 but don't know when or if I'll prestige, the assault rifle you unlock is pretty nice.
Is it things like dropping crates on people's heads again prestige or actually normal gameplay now?
Just bought Borderlands 2 couldn't say no at 25 bucks!
And too many other games damn black Friday!
Fry's is offering Dishonored on all platforms for $25, today only.
I'm so tempted but my Mad Max armor is at the cleaners.
Just do it!!!!
I level up quick because I play lots of domination, and when I'm not on, my boy takes it over and plays lots of Search, FFA, and likes to grind and get lots of unlocks.
I dood it.
Shopping was not the adventure I anticipated.
So far I've only played it (on PC) for a couple of hours but...
For me, it just plays way too much like a console port on rails. Indicators, highlighting and subtitles all active. The keyboard controls at default are mapped just differently enough to get you in trouble; the game really begs for an Xbox controller. I'll try again over the weekend and see if it gets better but right now I'm glad it was on sale.
So I'm picking up a few titles dirt cheap with the Steam sale. I don't think it's possible, but has anyone been able to play Steam games through their XBox 360?
Second question - How important is hard drive space for the 360. I understand disk based games can run with reduced load times if copied onto the hard drive. I also enjoy indie games, and there would be the inevitable DLC.
Anybody have preferences for multiplatform games, console vs PC?
(I know, I may as well ask what kind of oil is best)
I own both a ps3 and a xbox 360 (the cheap one) and you wont have much space to download games on a 360. ps3 has plenty of space out of the box. I prefer the ps3 by a wide margin.. I havent played many pc games I enjoy playing console games for several reasons. Much cheaper playing on a 50 in Tv verus a computer screen and the money it takes to have a powerful game computer. In my opinion the best games are battlefield 3(online), dead space 1 and 2, resident evil 5(6 was terrible), and assinsin creed has beem fun and these games can be played on any system. Anybody wants to play online battlefield or cod send me an invite SoFa-Soldier I play with a good bunch of guys. For indie games check out dust weird, but fun
It's snowing, riding is out for the time being.
Halo 4 has been out for a few weeks, is it worth getting?
Steam is for Mac, Linux, and Windows only, an XBox 360 couldn't even run the Windows 7 OS.
I have my top few games saved to the HD, if you have a new XBox and do that you likely will never run out of space for downloaded games unless you are buying a ton.
I use an XBox controller for both, XBox is better for online play since my friends have it. PC is better if you want tons of hacks and additional levels.
Amazon has a few cyber Monday deals going on, and New Egg has surprisingly been the best place for me to find deals. And most of the games even down to 10 bucks have free shipping there.
Also if any of you guys use the XBox 360 for TV/Video a lot snag the remote! I just got it and it works great plus the big thing is I wont be wasting my battery anymore.
I'm about 1/4 through Black Ops II, thinking to myself how far games have come in the last 10-20 years. I mean, 10 years ago Half-Life was the greatest thing ever.
Black Ops is insane. The graphics, flow, interface and physics of combat are incredible. These really are like movie productions.
Thing is, so many games now are so good that I've almost become numb to it. Borderlands2, Fallout3, Batman AC, Crysis are all good, but there are a few that really stand out....Skyrim and Mass Effect for example.
My point? None, really
But Black Ops II kicks ass as far as FPS go. We've come a long way from Doom and Quake.
Now I get to wait a month before I get to pull it out!
I picked up Arkham city on the steam sale.
Not bad. My fingers needed a rocksmith reprieve anyway. Fookin callouses got so thick and big I can't tell when my left hand actually hits a letter on the keyboard anymore.
