That does sound nasty. Deathclaws skeer me but maybe I'll take my new buddy Charon over there and let him kill all the Deathclaws for me. :evil

I haven't bothered making any weapons this time but I do like the Railroad Spike gun. :thumb I didn't know about the multiple copies, but I do know the higher your repair skill the better your gun will be when you create it.

My friend is going to ask her son where he found the Alien Gun. :D

Just outside of Rockopolis north of Girdershade. There's scripted event. Helps to have the dog with you so he can fetch all of the powerpacks for the gun. If not they do glow in the dark which helps in finding them.

    Holy time waster!
I put it back in last night, and bampf! Four hours gone.

Got some sniper rifles, killed me some Chinese remnant soldiers- all in a day's work.

I need to increase my carrying capacity, though- I keep having to go back and forth betwixt wherever I am, and my deluxe pad in Megaton.

    I'm really enjoying this game.

Man, I'm getting tired of no one having any money for me to sell them anything.

I keep gathering all these things that are worth a fair amount.

If I stash them in a random container will they stay there or will they disappear?

Stash it in your house in Megaton or in your tower flat. It should be safe there.
After carrying 10000 caps with me, I eased off on the collecting. Only the really good stuff. Wodka, scotch, this glue stuff, sensor moduls, rad scorpion thingies and death claws.
The dealer in Megaton or Rivet City usually has enough caps to buy.

Head up to Canterbury Commons and talk to Uncle Roe. You can stake the traveling caravan guys and they will have much more money and repair skill. If you haven't found Canterbury Commons yet look here http://www.wikicheats.com/index.php/Fallout_3_-_PC_PS3_XB360/Map_Points Middle of the far eastern side of the map.

Until I had a house I stashed stuff in the SuperDupermart, never disapeared.

I worried about not getting enough caps- because I kept selling my loot to Moira, and then going back to pay capps for stuff.

Then I figured out you can barter by moving stuff back and forth in that screen until it equals out. Saved me a whole lot of hassle.

It's tough being a good guy, though- I had to dispatch a group of thugs last night who apparently don't like my good deeds. They liked a face full of sawed-off a whole lot less.

    Thanks for the armor, Talon!

Those mercs put out a 1000 cap bounty on my head! :rofl

Luv my combat shotgun with the Bloody Mess perc.

I picked up some Brotherhood of Steel power armor in the library, carried it around for ever, and set it down and now can't remember where I put it....:cry

This game needs Surgeon General "HIGHLY ADDICTIVE" warnings all over it. :lol3

There's an empy house on one end, but the door is locked and you need a key. I guess that's what everyone's using?

I just kick back in my pad in Greyditch. I've taken over Brian Wilks house. :evil

Those Talon dudes pissed me off. I didnt know they were after me, or that they would show up out of nowhere. I was leaving a nuke plant when I ran right into them. I was gimping pretty bad by the time I dealt with those guys.

A better ambush was when I was down by the river. I whacked a couple of raiders. then found a couple more over the edge of the bank on a ledg right at the water. I dropped a grenade and then finished off what was left. I jumped down to loot. I was walking to the first body when I suddenly had a lot of gunfire hitting around me and taking a few hits. I didnt know where it was coming from. I scrambled behind a pile of tires which immediately started sounding like a drum machine. 2 super mutants across the river with mini guns. I was pinned there a while until I managed to luck in enough shots to take them out. bastards.

You get the key after you disarm the bomb. Fast travelling to Megaton, you jump left over the pipe and then it is the first upper house.

I guess I'll tackle the deathclaw area later to get my hands on the gatling laser. :evil

Another nice hint: If you come across a broadcasting tower, you can switch it on and the signal leads you to a hiding place of somebody.

I like to hear about everyone's different strategies. :clap

We pretty much trade in ammo since we tend to only use a few of the weapons. Ammo doesn't weigh anything so it's as good as finding caps. We don't really bother picking up any heavy junk laying around.

    We keep:
    10mm
    5.56
    Shotgun Shells
    Microfusion Cells
    .44 cal

    We sell:
    .36
    308
    5mm
    Flamer Fuel
    Darts
    Railway Spikes

    Extra Missiles
    Extra Frag Mines

This works really well to keep us stocked up on Stimpaks and the ammo that we need.
