Sneeky bastards. It's nearly impossible to have a thread in 'old's cool' without a pic of an airhead.

    So do I. Thats lovely.

I'm really getting into the earlier machines since a friend bought and rebuilt this early 30's cammy Velo 350. It's suprisingly quick and sits at 70Mph with no problem. He's a platter by trade and made the oil tank, exhaust system and a load of other bits.

That Rudge is hot and so is that Velo! The rivet counters will be
Crapping in their Barbour Waxed trousers at the very sight!

Sweet resto on that Daytona, too! I've ridden a vintage BSA on the English
    Lanes. Nothing like it!

It's an early '70's Bonnie Oil in Frame with a '68 TR6R 650 motor. The tank & seat unit is from http://www.thetankshop.com/

The front end is off a Yam TDR250 - and the rear from a Suzook DR650. Amal 930 carb - 200 main jet.

Wired it meself using Boyer Brandsden ignition & a Boyer PowerBox - so don't need a battery.......

Michelin Serac tyres & h/duty tubes.

Got it as a part assembled project with no electrics or oil pipes - forks/swingarm not fitted properly... this is when I got it home & roughly assembled it:

Sorted s/arm & got frame acid dipped & powder coated....

...few weeks of hard graft, cleaning, polishing, sorting front end, forks with new bushes & seal, etc.... 95% done

.... couple more weekends fine tuning....

"Lets not forget the "British Motorcycle Works" entry!"
Years ago while in an army hospital recovering from a car crash, I had a fellow patient try to convince me that BSA and BMW were the same company untill WW2. A real case of don't bother me with facts, my mind is made up.

no photos, but I have a few Brit projects waiting on me,
    AJS 500 single
    BSA A65
    Rickman Montessa (OK Brit/Spanish)

projects are SO quick to get and so slow to finish:D
