I'm seriously interested in building a vintage racer but have been rather unsuccessful in finding a rulebook that covers them. I'm located in Kentucky so East Coast rules will be preferred.

And a side note to Claude--Come to find out you live just a bit down the road from my little sister. She's in New Columbia. You can count on a visit when we come to visit her this summer.

Ho! Goofy1 ,if you intend to run in AHRMA there are three steps.1 join AHRMA 2. This is kind of a Catch 22 deal here, before you can race you have to join the AMA . 3.When you join AHRMA as a racing member they will send you a rulebook with all sorts of nessisary info on saftey wiring ,proper oil containment, race procedures ,etc. but no sidecar rules. You have to contact the office to get those rules.
Anyway, welcome and if you need any help or a monkey contact me.I'm too nonflexable to be a good monkey, but I'll hook you up with the "Kid" who'd really like a go.
What are you using for power? Central Ky's vintage race hub is Mike Well's Racing on Eastland Drive in Lexington. It's where the Honda-Yamaha dealer used to be before they moved to the Taj-Mahal in Hamburg mess.
Hope you can make it happen we need a sidecar racer in the Kentucky Wrecking Crew.

Power options are open at the moment. I've got a 78 Goldwing 1000, 06 Triumph, 07 Chinabike, and a PA50 in the shop now. I also have a lead on multiple 650 Yamahas but usually shy away from the "normal" route of things. I may hack the Wing as a replica racer just for kicks.

I'll have to stop by Mike Wells and introduce myself.

    All the best,
    G.

Any listings of race schedules for vintage sidecars? Do they run at Summit Point?
