Ben, are you coming to this one?
That KTM street bike was Bill Williams of the Dirt Broker, he bugged KTM America to import it. Tiny Sachs motor with the radiator built into the head. Old Bill Williams would freak out when customers would come in and sit on it. I would just sit back and laugh. MOTORCYCLE ARE MADE FOR RIDING!!!!!!!
I had the 50 cc version back in Germany - in 1978. KTM 50 RLW.
The 80 cc version came later (at least there).
I should show up for this museum visit.
Gitana, Whats the latest info on the visit, inquiring minds need to know. :
I'm definitely game but need to play it by ear if that's alright.
Tweetie & I will be there
Sorry about screwing up the date. It's definitely Sunday, February 3rd.
We're going to get them a headcount today, so are there any more takers? Anyone up for lunch/brews afterward? I don't know that area well, so if there are suggestions that would be great.
Blake Street Tavern is just a few blocks away.
In the other direction - past Erico, is The Walnut Room. (I like the Walnut Room, not as fancy as it sounds)
Biker Jims (bikerjims.com) 2148 Larimer St.
Be good to see you Pete - been a while!
Yeah, it has been an 18 busted ribs while! All good now.
2 weekends from now.
Isn't that Super Bowl Sunday? Great museum. Been there a couple times. Was the very first tag in the Colorado Tag Orama game.
game starts 6:30 EST
I have been wanting to see it for a while. Is it the one close to the erico dealership? By the way did anyone here see the collection over at Scoots machine (now retired), very cool, i wonder what happened to his restored bikes.
