VStrom Transmission Repair in Eugene/Springfield?

    Yep, he is honest and reputable and does good work. What did the bike do,,jam in 2 gears at once?

    I have zero shift lever engagement from 7 oclock to 11 oclock and the problem is not external

    I've not heard of the transmissions being a point of failure for V-Stroms, though anything is possible. There is some sort of issue with the clutch baskets on some, mine would chatter if I slipped it too long so I'd just dump the clutch and go.

    pin is gone on a shifting fork, that's my guess, and I'm sticking to it,,shifting fork failure.or some other shifty thing,,no doubt about it!
    Or,,the shifter shaft is sheared off where the ratshit transition happens.pick yer own failure prone opinion.
    In the late 70's, BMW had a batch of third gear gears that were not heat treated properly and some failed, causing a recall. Same holds true for all kinds of small shafts,gears,and spinning stuff,, one scratch or sharp line in the manufacturing process can cause a fail point, especially after hardening and heat treating.
    It'll be interesting to see what caused the failure, because parts are made in huge batches, so more would be exhibiting the same result if it were due to a flaw in a mfg process.
    biggest bummer is it happened when you had the ride planned with your blood brothers,,sorry man! that sucks!
