    Thanks for the response! I haven't taken the plunge into a DSLR yet, mostly because I struggle with the same issue - don't want to haul everything around (on my bike, watching my boys play sports, etc). Have thought about one of the small EOS M units from Canon, that might be something I consider down the road. Anyway, I like the sound of that DRO feature, I'll have to check and see if the ZS100 offers something similar (it's supposed to be in the same class as the RX100).

    Your shots and the report make me want to jump in my truck and haul my bike down there for a long weekend :ricky:ricky. It's been sunny up here for the last few days, but frickin' cold. Look forward to a few temperate days w/o the liquid sunshine.

    Really nice work with the camera. 3 years back the rain up here in Washington motivated us to wander south for a week in February for some riding. Found a reasonable motel in Williams and wandered around in the country north of Clear Lake almost to the west of Red Bluff. No snow that year in the higher elevations. Had a great time. May have to plan a return this year.
