Are you going, Guns? I'm not sure of the plan but I'll know more after the Tuesday DNR user meeting.

The plan is to haul gravel and spread it in Jam Trail. Skagit Club wil have folks there on quads with trailers to bring rock out to the trail so folks can spread it and drain puddles, block off braiding, etc.

If you don't have one, they'll have some to share. Your helmet won't cut it either! They'll have tools, bring gloves, water, lunch, etc. If you want, a rake, shovel, loppers, pulaski, etc. are good, but make sure you mark yours first. If there are too many folks for the Jam trail, you may be sent to work on other spots.

I am bringing a shovel, pulaski, and mattock.

I can also bring my chainsaw and weed eater with a cutting attachment if need be.

For official work parties i.e. when the DNR is there, only "certified" sawyers can use chain saws. Oh, and you must have all the safety equipment; chaps, hard hat, eye and ear protection, etc. When it's a club outing to clear trail, some folks forget the rules.

I still have my chainsaw operators certification from 1980 and 1981 when I used to fight wildland fires with the CDF. :lol3

Guns has a new love . You could not get him off the quad :rofl

Beautiful day for a little trail maintenance . Glad we could help some

After trail work Chris and myself went for a ride on two wheels , Guns decided he wanted to practice his log jumping
on the quad . Later ,we did an unscheduled stop due to a bear strolling in the middle of the trail (chris took a pic )
That thing did not want to move off the trail .
    Good day over all .

Today was a great day and weather was amazing. More gravel layer down on the log jam trail and a so
E good riding afterwards with Arzach. We came across a black bear. My first sighting of one up at walker. Also on the way home home on hwy 9 at overlook golf course a Harley with a passenger jets off the road, she bails off and the guy a his bike goes another 100' on it's side before coming to a stop. All this happened in my horizon. Scary seeing a motorcycle accident. From his complaints I'm sure he had a broken leg and scraped up good. Passenger was scraped up good on the knees and hands. I'm just glad they will live. I left soon as the fire depart relieved me from flagging cars since one lane was blocked. Any how besides seeing a guy with a broken leg and the gal scraped up today was a great sunny day.

Ya took the pic but only with my iPhone. No zoom so it looks like a spec on the road. Oh well.
