    RJ,

Are you north of Rose? About 9:30? That would have been me riding my buddy's g650gs. He was on my Vision. We were headed for brekkie at the golf course in Dayton, then he was headed home to Lewiston.

We headed up into the hills yesterday up Government Mountain Rd. Got turned back by snow before we got to Big Meadow.

Well my brother (fatherof4) and rode up tiger this morning. We only got about a mile beyond the road you take to ride back down goverment mountian before we hit the snow. He was riding his new vstrom and didn't want to try the snow.

I was up at Tollgate last week, just past the guard station at the lake the road is still snowed in. I busted through three drifts and then gave up.

So I have been staying low, took the TDM to Wallowa Lake today.

Hi all. Just want to throw this out there to riders in my greater area...

I'm in the market for a DR 350, 400, 650 or KLR 650 or similar. Budget is the less than $2500 price range, though sub $2000 would be ideal.

If anyone is getting rid of one of these bikes now, or at the end of the season, or have a friend... or a friend of a friend who will be selling one, let me know or drop me a PM if you don't mind. I'm down in Pullman and have all summer/fall to find a dual sport bike but I'm beginning the search now. Thanks. :freaky

    Hello Walla Walla.
Several months ago I posted here that my son and I will spend 1 day in Walla Walla on journey Texas to the Arctic Circle. We have family there and it's my home town. Our schedule is a little in flex but it appears we'll make it around June 11th.
We would love to meet for a cup of joe or a drink and kick tires and tell yarns with local riders.

Welcome back Timbercat to WW. I'm sure a few of these fine people will be able to meet up with you. I leave the 12th on vaca so I may not be able to make it but will if at all possible, rj

    timbercat,

I'm camping up near Rimrock Lake the weekend of the 8th, but should be back in town by the 11th.

Suggest you post when the time gets a little closer and we can see about getting some folks together.

I cannot speak for the South Fork, but I was up on Tollgate about two weeks ago and once you get into the trees, off the highway I got snowed out real quick. I am betting its clear up to cub saddle, any higher then that I would think you would get snowed out

As of last weekend you could make it within 2 miles of Deduct pond. You can also make it to the top of Rough Fork and Burnt Cabin. On Saturday the snow was blowing sideways at Motet but nothing was sticking. North Fork, you can make it to Cow Camp and about 1.5 miles past before hitting logs. In the next weekend or so we'll have it cleared out. :freaky

Got a buddy and friends/family of his who are camping this weekend down in Athena for Hodaka Days. I'm going to ride my new-to-me BMW f650gs down there on Saturday to meet up with them. Probably leave WW around 7:30 - 8;00 am time frame. Anyone interested in getting together and coming along? Post here or call me at 240-0178, WW area code.
