What Up guys haven't posted since someone hit me head on my ktm 690 last year! I have another 690 now and things are feeling great on the new bike. Anyone interested in some trail riding on weekdays. Have a farm in Thorndale 99 acres we have been making a decent track on with a few jumps. Anyone interested in coming out to check out the property. My 690 rocks out here so most bikes will do fine.

it's a 950cc LC8 V-twin engine that was originally designed as a desert race bike.

I surely use my 690 like a dirt bike. Thing jumps and handles very well once you get the setup right

It's the same thing with the 950. Stock suspension sucked, seat sucked, it had cat'ed exhaust, charcoal canisters, ect ! I changed it all to fit me. Bike lost 40lbs and gained around 15HP (like it needed anymore power) which made the power unusable in a lot of off road areas, so I installed a Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 clutch. Wow did that make a big difference. Now the bike will tractor up loose rocks and wet grass with ease, but if you pin that throttle you'd better be pointing in the right direction and hang on to your ass ! :ricky :evil

I just got a new 690.. jeez, has it been almost a year already? :ricky

Thanks for your generous offer. Might just take you up on it, maybe the 530 would be more fun. I'm selling the 950 Adventure so I think I'll leave it in the garage instead of jumping it anymore.

    No more head-ons, okay? Yikes.

Dang, Clash. I know I've seen a bunch of KTM 690's around the Austin, Georgetown, Belton, Temple, and Killeen area. You would think someone would answer you. I own a 950SE because the 690 is too small framed for my big ass ! ! ! :lol3 I like the motor, just wish the frame was a little bigger and longer in size !

I'm sure not as big as you BD, but yeah, the 690 is a lot smaller than the LC8. And the 690 motor is indeed amazing.

And hey, I did answer! Never mind that I'm so busy all I can do is roll bikes in and out of my shop to make room to get shit done.

Somebody buy my 950 so I have room to work.
