Yes, sir...traded Sunday for Thanksgiving Day, since we’re celebrating on Friday. I’ll be out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everybody, and not having to bail before the festivities start. What front tire are you running on your GS? I have a next to new tourance next that I’m gonna be selling and thought you might be interested.

Joe, this is a private ranch that is opened several weekends a year for these type camp outs. It's just outside Gatesville.

    Ghost Ranch Entrance

Check the map in Aerial/satellite view and the entrance is obvious. Follow the dirt road around to to the open area where the view shows the two buildings.

Just show up at a campout, that's what I did a little over 6 years ago. Being a member here is all that's needed. Dody does put out a donation can to cover food. Plenty of trails and room to cut more.

Are you going to be able to make it out this weekend? Let Ghost know by posting on here, so he can add you to the roster.

Currently I’m running a Shinko 705 on the front. When that wears out, I’m going back to a TKC 80 up front. I’m running a TKC 70 on the rear and I like it.

    Registration time again.

New to me and not cracked headlights are installed now. The inspection guy was not fond of the aux lights....[IMG]

How many miles are people getting out of the rear TKC-70 on average?

2500 miles is horrible. Folks get that out of a rear tkc-80

I have a tkc 70 on the rear at 7k miles and about halfway wore. Search for the tire thread and lots of reports of long tread life. No idea how you burned through one so fast.

Wasn't me. That's what FotoTEX said. I was expecting around 7k and hoping for more.

I guess one needs some sort of dedicated touring tire on the back to get 10k plus out of a rear tire on a consistent basis - at least on this chip seal stuff we've got.

Riding the speed limit helps...but why would you own this bike?
