aaahhh, grasshopper of the north. Transcendence comes in many dosages. When you see a warthog, do you automatically think...hakuna matata? So why, when you see the evidence of my transformation, do you think I oughta go to re-hab? I say no...no...no. Hey. How'd it work out for that English bird, anyway? Haven't heard anything about her lately. I've been busy.

Well, do you have your girlfriend's permission to post her photo? That could get you in a lot of trouble. Just sayin'.

I've never had Tourances on the KLR and I've never had the Shinkos on the GS so it's hard to compare. I have never had a problem with the Shinkos on traction. I have had some not last very long. A Shinko 244 I had started chunking knobs. Most Shinko complaints I've heard had to do with tire problems like the knobs or cracks.

Folks.....I just got the latest batch of maps in from Butler....They've added several dirt/gravel routes to the Utah map for the DS riders.
+ I got one of the Washington Back Country Discovery Route maps....Man! that thing has some REALLY fantastic stuff shown on it. Mostly gravel forest roads from The Columbia River Gorge to the Canadian border....6 days worth of ridin!!

Now......If ya'll want some o the Butler maps...you'll need to order em or get em from me here in the Waco area. That's the second part of this post....

We're losing a really helpful retail motorcycle shop in Waco....As of next Fri-Sat.....MITCHELL'S CYCLE SPORTS WILL CLOSE IT'S DOORS TO THE PUBLIC..Tim & Susan have made a big difference in our local riders purchases for the last 10 years (+ another 5 or so back in the early 90s at his 1st location). I know I'm gonna miss having them to help me when I need parts or accessories....or service. BEST WISHES TO BOTH SUSAN & TIM on their future endeavours.

Uh... Because of the number of doses you had to take in order to reach enlightenment.

English birds? English birds?! I hope someone else knows what you're talking about. Otherwise you're higher than I thought.

I've never shopped there, but it always sad to see another good motorcycle shop shut it's doors. Yes, I wish them luck in their future.

A Liquified future is in the cards for all the boxer engines. It's just getting too hard for BMW to meet stricter Euro emission regs with air/oil cooling. They need the more consistent temp control that a coolant based engine has.Actually,I think I remember the article as stating a hybrid air/liquid cooled cylinder with a full liquid cooled head. I saw a magazine at Hastings that pegged the engine change for 2013-14
