Third arm? Damn, I always used my foot.
Yeah that didn't always work very well for me. In catching up late learning to change tires, I'm noob.
I did use my new voodoo to do what some say is impossible and balance a tkc front....woowooowooo
I'd like to say a BIG THANX to Rusty for his suggestion & help with this....
Look at you. All legal. And shit. Now you'll be too good for us.
Rock on Rod! Or is that "Mister Rod" now!
I'm still here .....& I ain't no "hairdresser"........
I guess I'm legitimately committed......or maybe I should be.....
Just got back from a little run down to Valley Mills to check out CR3127 and just gotta say that it is a great sidecar road going both directions.:eek1
The chair got a little air on that off camber climbing curve when the sidecar tire hit that ledge. I then had to run 4250 and 1035 back to Meridan.
Nice shots! 4250 looks especially good. In fact, good enough to steal. :)
SoG, use it any way you want.
Good. Cuz it is already on the RTB thread.
Just ran 250 miles starting at 7pm two up to scrub in the front and see how it handled. I was leery about putting a 21" TKC front on after how the 800GS handled with one...but I am now thinking that the shop that I had balance the 800's tire sucked ass, or maybe the 990 is just that awesome, or maybe I am just the super woodoo TKC tire balancer. Either way, it is on rails on pavement, felt better than the stock Scorp, which I find hard to believe.
Found an awesome two track road that leads to another road which ends up on the east side of the camel/zebra road. I know that is confusing, but it was dark, had no idea where I was, was just following north/east on the GPS and ended up there. Will have to dig up the numbers in the GPS. But the road had two foot tall grass separating the two track, and a foot deep washout that I hit way to fast (did I mention it was dark?). Anyway, I know the camel road is going to be in a RTB route, this road NEEDS to get added in too. I'll go do it again in the day light and make sure it wasn't just the excitement from not being able to see making it awesome.
New lights are first on the list after I get back from CO...Going to have space shuttle landing lights on that thing...stockers are somewhere below terrible.
Hey Austin inmates - last chance to hang out at LoveJoys and watch MotoGP today.
"We are going to try and stream the race directly from Motogp.com LIVE @ 4pm but can't tell yet if SpeedTV will block that coverage! If it's blacked out we will be showing a classic battle or something until the delayed speed tv coverage @ 5pm."
Ok. Dumb question time (I can't figure out which cubbyhole the wife squirreled my owners manual away in). What kind of bulbs for the high and low beams on an 1150gs?
Edit: I think I figured it out. They're both H1 bulbs. That seems to be the consensus when I search anyway.
Baby got a new pair of shoes for our run up to Colorado. Now just need to get over to see the wizard of balancing he who is much better than I. Sir Shady.
:huh Look pretty well balanced to me. lol
I have parts coming!
I'll be able to tell where I am (maybe).
Blind oncoming traffic.
Not get hit from behind.
And have quieter startups while preventing an engine rebuild.
Now if I could just get the beast to run.
Well just got done having my hardware from my lumbar fusion removed, it looks like they just used really expensive wood screws in my back. I'll be off the bike again but hopefully I'll b up and riding so I can do the RTB this year and my wife and I's ride to Ouray in the fall.
How lovely...I really fear I need to have one or both screws in my right femur removed...I am having some pain there and the doctor told me I might need it removed at somepoint..its been almost 20 years still got the 7 screws and plate in my hand...used titanium in it...
Note to all...I have been a little incognito and will continue to be so through Thursday...I am at a conference in Austin and not got regular access to internet:eek1 Good news is I have the Bavarian bitch back and ready to ride her hard...thinking Loco for the weekend
For those headed north, ride safe and watch the washboards...make sure you get your suspension set right....Wish I was going with ya but someone has to tend the home fires
We all knew you had a few screws loose Ghost ! ! !
