Well, the great news for you is that the "Wright Amendment" is ending soon, so you'll be able to travel to more places from Love field. Still lots of traffic in that area during the rush hours...

That is good news but I rarely fly. It's to much hassle.

I'd rather ride the bike. :evil

Well, the Karoo 3 experiment on my bike is on hold for a bit. I'm going to head to Arkansas sometime in the next month and a half and was to ride up there. I've got about 1k miles on the karoos and they weren't going to make a round trip. So I pulled them to save for RTB in Oct. All LS had was Anakee 3's so I'm back to those. I could have waited and ordered some Road Pilot 4's to see what street tires felt like, but the A3 feels like and sounds like a street tire compared to the K3.

Probably doesn't cost any more than flying direct from DFW. And probably much cheaper when you consider the drive, parking, and overall hassle of DFW or Love.

Damn, those didn't last long. :eek1 I expected a little greater mileage from you Rusty. I know SOG burns them off quick, but you're a reasonable rider.

Sheesh, how many miles from the K3's?

I have a fresh set of K3's and Mitas E-07 Dakars sitting here. Wondering if I put the K3's on now, ill have no choice but to mount the e-07s for RTB.

I have about 1700 miles on my K3's and maybe about 800ish miles left in them.

I just checked my notes and I'm about 10 miless short of 1000 miles on the tire and I'd say it is about half gone. So I'm expecting 2000 miles total. 2500 if im lucky. It has seen minimal dirt. Front looks good though. So it might get paired with a Tourance down the road.

jeeebus, for the price of those k3's I was expecting big things.

I'll make it my mission to burn through them. for testing purposes of course.

they sure do look puuuurty though!

Has anyone tried the mitas treads. fellow inmates claim to reach 8-9k on a set. I read that as terrifying in the rain...

Could be scary in the rain. I'm sure someone has talked about that while reviewing them but I can't remember.

The Mitas e-07 reviews I've read were generally positive. I may try one out back in the future.
