Craigslist hasn't been working out. 2 near misses. Anyone know of one for sale somewhere within a couple hundred miles of Charlottesville, Va.?

I feel your pain my friend, took me 3 months to find my 86 and had to drive 4 1/2 hours to get it. bottom line they are rare in the south got to be willing to travel if you find one.
With that there is a 90 listed in Nashville Craigs. 1970, seems to be in good shape but these are so easy to work on its no big deal eithr way. there are 3 listed on adv, one in houston, 1980 so no subtransmission, and down im arkansas a guy has 2 for 1g. one a 90, one a 110.

going back to where i was when I was seaeching i would drive to Arkansas after highly detailed pix. title or not, seems like a good deal.

otherwise, stay on craigslist and jump quickly. the price of gas going up and spring around the corner and a newbies dream of auto transmission these will be hard to come by at a good price in the south.

I keep a tab on what's out there, if I see something will shoot a pm.

I think I got lucky. Found a '75 in very good original condition not too far away - going to look at it Sat. Not a steal at +_ $1400 but appears to be a true garage queen w/ 600 mi. Think that's a good buy? He says it runs perfect and the pics look very good. Seller sounds like a good guy and has known the bike since new - his father's shop sold it new and then they bought it back 10 years later.

$1400 is upper end on what I would spend on a 110, but hey man, it's only money. :D

Price is almost irrelevant. If you found the right bike it's worth it.

I wanna see it if you get it.

What I want to know is why you want it in the first place? It seems contrary to your hot rod nature...:lol3

3rd times the charm w/ craigslist.

Found a nice one ('75 w/ 600mi.) in Pa. Picked it up in Breezewood - at the diner.

It need to be gone through, but it's all there and in good shape.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and to Randy for use of the mototote - I'll get it back soon.
