Great ride pics: makes me miss my GS rides. Time to start planning...
I had similar issues on my G650X Challenge with the front end bottoming out until I had Javier from Trail Tricks redo my front end, springing and re-valving it for my weight. I still need to replace the rear air shock with a nice spring shock and replace the bash plate that fell off somewhere in New Mexico last summer...
I guess a good bash guard has to have crush zones, but no matter how good, eventually a hit will exceed its ability to absorb it and be transferred to the frame, or whatever bottoms out first (in this case, the engine cover). if the bash guard was stronger, then the frame would take the damage, which is muh oh
Wow, what a killer weekend! Huge thanks to the event organizers, I had such a great time.
I had a GoPro running on Saturday and finally have a video to share from the riding that day.

I didn't take a whole lot of pics, and the ones I did take kind of sucked but I'll share anyway.
On the way out, ya ya I know, they're on a trailer.
"Patiently" waiting for everyone to get ready, haha.
Stopped at the top of Mud Hen trail
i take NO responsibility. talk to that guy Rincon and his family of Boulders.
buying a KTM would be the best modification.
excellent job GreeNug! Might just have to get me one of those single-track devices.
More WARPED chit ordered!
You did a fantastic job on all of this Bill!!!!
Next year you can ride, relax and laugh at the next poor schmuck in line.....
I did not take one picture.....:eek1
Think I was all burned out from the Mexico trip..... :jose
Thanks for the video!! Lovely smooth singletrack, bitchin!! Was beginning to wonder if anyone actually got out of camp for a ride.
Andreas has a new Cigar ashtray...
How are your tomatoes doing? Do I hear wedding bells?
I'm going to have my Italian family go after you and that Rincon guy. (if I only had an Italian family...)
Thx for posting that video: great refresher for the memories. Get's my height-sensitive adrenaline going again
My video was about 6 seconds, then the battery crapped out (didn't hold the charge)
sometimes life gets in the way and shit just doesnt happen. Oh well, I've seen 8 WARPED's in a row. Missing a year here and there is no big deal.
I'd rather be hunting ducks with a rake anyways.
Damn, it's been a week already! Still thinking about the good times and great folks I met. Thanks again Bill and all those who helped make it happen. Gary, thanks for letting me tag along on that great ride. Shout out to Pierce, Computorless, Dyvking, Scottmac, and Treadless.

Might have me a new signiture line....
I didn't crash. I chickened out, instead, not quite picturing my fat butt up on that badly welded frame. Almost had it going scootering along twice.
