I had similar issues on my G650X Challenge with the front end bottoming out until I had Javier from Trail Tricks redo my front end, springing and re-valving it for my weight. I still need to replace the rear air shock with a nice spring shock and replace the bash plate that fell off somewhere in New Mexico last summer... :lol3

I guess a good bash guard has to have crush zones, but no matter how good, eventually a hit will exceed its ability to absorb it and be transferred to the frame, or whatever bottoms out first (in this case, the engine cover). if the bash guard was stronger, then the frame would take the damage, which is muh oh :cry

Wow, what a killer weekend! Huge thanks to the event organizers, I had such a great time.

I had a GoPro running on Saturday and finally have a video to share from the riding that day. :D

sometimes life gets in the way and shit just doesnt happen. Oh well, I've seen 8 WARPED's in a row. Missing a year here and there is no big deal.

I'd rather be hunting ducks with a rake anyways.

Damn, it's been a week already! Still thinking about the good times and great folks I met. Thanks again Bill and all those who helped make it happen. Gary, thanks for letting me tag along on that great ride. Shout out to Pierce, Computorless, Dyvking, Scottmac, and Treadless.

I didn't crash. I chickened out, instead, not quite picturing my fat butt up on that badly welded frame. Almost had it going scootering along twice.
