Cruised out west of Saline and picked up this tag.

Popped a new tag less than three miles from the last one.

This cow pasture is only about two tenths of a mile from this old tag. See post #466.

Alright Scorpion, two things... which tag am I looking for? The cell tower or cow pasture? 2 tenths from Roe and Cassidy finds no cows or barbed wire fence!!! lol a little help?!!! Thanks. Also, see your CCC decal on one of your bikes... I had an armful of +100's many moons ago... Missed the "short way round", would dig riding w them again...

Sorry if the clues might be misleading. The new tag is the cow pasture. The cow pasture is very near the newer tag posted in #466 (the cell tower). The clue there reads: "Cell tower on the first dirt west of Saline (on US-12 anyway)." Well it turns out that the first dirt road off of US-12 heads south only. That will get you headed towards the cell tower. And of course you need to be about three miles away from Williamsburg on the River off of Dell Rd. You will not travel very far from US-12 before spotting the cell tower. At that point you are all-moo-st there.

When I go back to 466 it shows the Roe and Cassidy intersection in Chelsea area. Reason for confusion, I must be doing something screwy... I will set the GPS to "cow pasture, Saline MI" should be good to go!!! Thanks

The first picture (Roe and Cassidy) in #466, was the old tag, the second picture (cell tower) was the newer tag, and the one that Scorpion is referring to. Some of the confusion may be from him posting the picture of him "getting" this tag from post #467.

Anyway, according to the exif data from my cell tower picture, it is at:
    <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr valign="baseline"><td style="border:none">Latitude/longitude:</td><td style="border:none; padding-left:1em" class="nobr">42° 8' 51" <small>North</small>, 83° 48' 20" <small>West</small>
( <small>42.147500, -83.805556</small> )</td></tr></tbody></table>... so hopefully this will give your GPS something to home in on :)

Since this field is essentially my back yard, I might just have to go out and get this tag myself though ;)

OK, apparently "cow pasture" is a place of interest...
I'm on the other side of the road as I didnt want to piss off the cowpoke... he had half a stampede of calves going on...
    The next tag...
the US National Weather Service states the name of this road is between 34 and 47 knots. It's not a very long road so should be an easy find...

I don't have the tag, but I wanted to say how AWESOME this is!!! I lived in Ann Arbor over on Warren Rd most of my life. Most of these tags I recognize. When I am up visiting my parents, can I participate in the game too?

I'm not the moderator, but feel like more riders bring greater variety and that equals more time to get out and explore. Bring it CB, glad to have you.:clap

it's a laid back tag game, so re-tags are even OK(just try to make the picture a little different)

the only rules are public dirt roads and within the borders of washtenaw county mi. google maps will pull up a nice boundry line now days if you zoom out a little.

i love showing off our multitude of beautiful dirt roads in our home county

    welcome

I was out riding the back roads around Dexter today. I had to stop for a little rest on Gregory Rd. Then I got to thinking: "Boy this scene sure looks familiar. Shot a picture to bring home and compare with the latest tag. Yeah!

Here is another of the 'pavement ends' tags. You'll only have to venture a few feet of the pavement to get it. This East-West road runs like a dotted line across most of southern Washtenaw County. It is very discontinuous. This little two mile stretch just north of Milan is half paved and half dirt. The Ann Arbor Railroad crosses the dirt half as it heads from Dundee to Ann Arbor.
