The world-famous Eugene-Springfield ADV contingent has decided that July 13-15 would be a good weekend to camp at Skamokawa Vista Park in Washington on the Columbia river and watch the ships go by. Bring your own food and BYOB. The campground has fire rings with flip up grills for cooking or bring your very own Larry The Cable Guy disposable charcoal grill that worked so well at Ludlum House. The campground also has a nice sheltered area for communal cooking/dining plus there's a cafe right down the road if you don't want to cook. We'll need firewood, so if anybody has an idea where to get it nearby please post it here. Show up, camp, watch the ships go by and burn some wood are the only planned activities. Just post if you're in and I'll get a list going. We're going to try and keep this as low-key and uncomplicated as possible. Here's a link to the park.

If you've never been there before it's definitely worth the trip.

And please stay out of the river at 2am...

    XB12R is bringing firewood-thank you.

Show up and you're on the in list. Stay home and you're not.

Get your asses out there-is summer and we rarely do this

We're just hoping that the cool people from Pootland show up but know that they won't decide until July 12th maybe.

Hummmm, July 12th is my burf-day. So I could do this, but I spent enough time being/seeing ships underway whilest in the Navy. I think I'll go to Crater Lake instead and see if the rim road is open. You all have fun and take lots of pictures, as will I.

Given the current economy, and my employer's budget, my travel this summer has been reduced. I might be able to make this......unless they do what they did to me the past two months...........

I heard rumors of "Skampolonia" camp out (that' what it sounded like when I first heard about this at the last campout :freaky). Sounded like a great event at the time, so count me in.

No, its my ride my motorcycle and live out of a tent for up to 9 weeks and get paid for it schedule. It does not suck. More big miles for the little bike. I was thinking I'd be in Montana by then...
