After the late start we only make it 179 miles before I found reason to stop. We could press on another 100 miles or so and start looking for a camping spot in the dark. Or... We could take this cheap spot right on the beach! We are at the Navarro River Beach Access. From the highway there are no signs indicating camping is allowed here. Even the maps I have don't list this campground. 13 years ago, our daughter was 1 when we stopped here. This is the first place she walked on the beach and saw the Ocean. We take a walk together. Helen reads a book, while we wait for the sunset.
