The plan is to be coming through tomorrow morning hopefully around 11am. I was all Pellet Powdered up over your last trip! My Pellets of choice today are Cascade and Mandarina Bavaria that went in a Pale. If I make it by I will try to leave a little something for ya.

Hell yeah. If you make it in, we'll be brewing up a batch of sour blonde, and the first batch of Kolsch for a double. Summer season is upon us...

I just go back from the Boonville Beer Fest. I was camped at Anderson Valley in the Brewers Camp. It was loads of fun.

We made it back last night. It was a great trip to say the least.

    Highlights were:
Camping in the brewers area at Anderson Valley. You have to experience this if possible!
Barrel tasting and drinking on the roof top with Fal.
Visiting Flat Tail and meeting KillerD. Thank You!
Riding Bear Ridge after KillerD suggested it. Really fun easy gravel section with amazing views.
Visiting Lagunitas for a VIP tour. They know how to have fun and it really shows.
The ride in general - We used Butler maps and tried to ride every highlighted road we could.

Back at work today brewing Expedition Amber.

Did Fal give you a taste of the cask strength Wild Turkey?
Yow, it was pretty strong stuff.

Glad you got to hit that little gravel section! Just beautiful. Hoping that next year we'll be able to make the voyage as well.

please tell me they are still speaking "Boontling" in Booneville. My first experience there was years ago. Haven't forgotten it. Couldn't understand anything. If you haven't heard of it, Google it.

Haven't been, but many brewing friends have told me they still do. I believe its the oldest still functional American dialect there is.

Putting together a beer and bikes related fundraiser, and Im wondering how many riders there are that also own or work at craft breweries. General concept is as follows:

Group of riders from breweries up and down the west coast will attempt a massive ride starting / ending in either Northern Washington, or Southern California.

Maximum distance possible (without back tracking) is about 1250 miles. Obviously, if youre an absolute maniac you could back track and get in as many miles as possible.

Each brewery/rider gathers pledges of $ per miles from local businesses/individuals I.E. Wilco Farm Stores pledges $.25 per mile, meaning if you make 1000 miles wilco will donate $250.

Ideally, i think it would be great to have the cash go to local community members that are in need of help, but we could also pool the cash together to donate a larger amount to one specific charity.

On the day of the ride, riders either head south or north.....i will plot out gas stops at 150, 200, and 300 mile intervals so riders with different fuel capacities can have gas and food planned out without effort.

I will also attempt to set up a network of breweries that are willing to provide camping or lodging to riders at the various end points (if youre willing to do this please let me know, regardless of whether or not you will have a rider participating)

Ride will be documented with gas receipts and photos. Once the ride is over, donors will send checks to the charities or individuals we have agreed on.

I have arranged / am arranging coverage from several local and regional blogs, podcasts, and newspapers, so all I need is some folks in the saddle to make it happen......

If youre interested or know someone who might be, email me at Dave @ FlatTailBrewing . com

Hoping to rack up some major bucks for folks down on their luck in 2017!

Yes, we're working on a plan now. We will probably start heading down the night of April 26th from the Tacoma area.

I will camp down by the stream. Look for a red BMW R12GSA with Mosko panniers.

Just got back from Utah.. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy to be back.
Went to my fridge last night, and all I had was some remnants of a Sam Adams sampler that a friend brought over a week ago... it was over 3.2% and wonderful:)
